From what Oakland writers are saying the kid is very likeable and popular with both the players and fans.

I would be too of course but I can't run a 4.3.

Whats the Raiders been sporting lately? Heck they will like anything with two legs. they should be thrilled, was this player a 7th round pick and they get a higher pick for a player about to be waived? we got fleeced.

Ridiculous.

I'm a big fan of the Ted Thompson approach of drafting a WR almost every year. It's a passing league so you should always try to find WR's. That being said, which young WR don't you like? I understand you aren't thrilled with Butler, but we got him for a song, trading down no more than 20 spots (late 5th to early 6th). Street is to be determined but still young. Beasley and Dez are under newly-signed contracts and aren't going anywhere. Terrance Williams won't use his hands to catch the ball to save his life, but he's a solid #2.

5 WR's, 26 or younger, all under contract for the next 2 years. That's not a bad spot to be in.

The condition of the swap of draft picks is that he is on the 53 man roster for 6 games.

We have a 5 game window to evaluate him. If we don't like what he can provide we release him and there is no swap of draft picks.

Thanks, now that makes sense, her tweet was confusing.

exactly, they got more out of their pick and we have to dump him before a month.

What would you have preferred, a guy off the street? The guy runs a sub 4.4. 40 and is 6'3. I'll roll the dice considering Dez is out for a couple months etc.

I'm ok with this... little risk... and he catches 90% of those balls with his hands...

It took Irvin an injury and time off to get that... he did ok...

of course you would, a guy buried on the Raiders depth chart screams talent. If he walks im sure you are impressed. Id sooner roll the dice with AJ Jenkins . He knows the playbook and cost us less. We either wasted time, or have to dump this guy to say no deal, we could play AJ and see what he has. am i impressed with blazing fast. no, dig up Davis and ask him how that worked out. Give me hands and a chain mover any day of the week.

The coaches not only rejected the notion on Jenkins but also a few street guys they tried out today before making the deal. There is raw talent visible in this kid. He might need to toughen up a bit, may need to be more consistent, but he could turn into a viable #2 WR. And for what - maybe 10 or 15 picks later in the 5th/6th round when your guy is likely to still be there in the draft anyway. Take a breath it's going to be okay.

Immensely talented, he needs to be around a QB like Romo. The kid has serious talent, I'm actually happy to see him in Dallas. He killed Dallas in the preseason game last year.

umm, Jenkins was going to the PS in the hopes of a future. This guy was being released, no word if he was going to the PS. and again, buried in the "o so talented " raiders depth chart. Where talent goes to thrive.

I have nothing against the trade for Butler but he's a developmental long shot. Street is a JAG. Beasley is a nice but very limited player. Williams is an inconsistent #2. Dez is a bit injury prone. To think we're set at WR for years to come is a little much for me.

The same people who graded Jenkins having a future are the same who are saying Brice Butler has a better one. This ain't rocket science. Trust the coaches.
