I swear I wish I was dreaming.

Dez is my favorite player. Meeting him last year and talking with him seeing how down to earth he was makes it worse. My profile picture on FB is me and Dez.

And this is going to be my first Cowboys game since Dez was signed that I will see live that he won't be playing (going to the Eagles game in November )

I haven't met Dez but I feel you on everything else you said. I keep seeing he's out flash across the screen and want to puke. I believe in Tony though. I have hopes well get through it but no doubt after Tony this is arguably the biggest loss this team could suffer

The question remains in mind: Why haven't the Cowboys put Dez on short-term IR?

It makes no sense. Why would they waste the roster spot of they are certain it is 10-12 injury?

LOL. Yes, because I still don't know what kind of player he is.

You can be a smart ***, but it's been rare that he hasn't had an elite WR on the outside. I think this is a great opportunity to prove a lot of his defectors wrong.

I'm not a Dr but I play one on the Cowboyszone or I'm a reporter on a soapbox or whatever. One media "expert" says something and it's all day fodder for NFLN and 12+ pages on here until the next report. Here's another that reads the exact opposite.

Dez Bryant - WR - Cowboys
ESPN's Ed Werder reports that the bone graft performed during Dez Bryant's foot injury improves his chances of coming back within six weeks.

It's telling that the Cowboys haven't placed Bryant on the I.R./Designated to Return List. That would suggest the team believes his return will come within 6-8 weeks. That's more favorable than the grim 10-12 week timetable established by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport earlier Sunday morning. Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley will have expanded roles during Bryant's absence.

I think that fellow Cowboys fans should give it at least a few games to see how the O does without Dez before they write this season off as being over already.

If we're not in position to make a run at the playoffs after 10 weeks we should just shut him down for the season, and go all inn next year, Romo can't have many years left inn him we can't afford to waste another season

Interesting... those who are familiar with the medical field seem to be saying that 10-12 weeks is optimistic for this kind of thing, so Werder saying that it would improve his chances to come back soon seems contradictory.... but what else is new when it comes to injury reporting?

I am a fan of Dez, but come on, he is just a WR. He isn't the OL, D, or especially the QB. Look at the crap that Brady, Rodgers, Russell, Kaepernick, and even Favre had at wideout over the years and still led their teams to great regular seasons.

I will miss Dez being out there. The team definitely will. What I will miss more than his receiving, his downfield blocking. He is an outstanding blocker for our running game. This is one area where I don't see Beas and TWill replacing him, especially that scrub Street.

lol....
I was waiting for that one.

Sorry. Anybody waiting to see what kind of player Tony Romo truly is just hasn't been paying attention over the years. That kind of Cowboys hating question has been put to bed years ago by anyone being objective.

To put up the numbers he's had over his career it's outright insulting to make a comment like that.

Now that Nelson has gone down, it's time for Aaron Rodgers to really prove what kind of player he is.

Different situation, the guy is already hands down the best QB in the league, a champion, an MVP, a HOFer... Romo is none of those things.
