I recall getting something to drink and coming back and wondering how the Falcons got the ball with so much time left on the clock. I guess that was the answer. Howdy Doody blew the game day management again. LOL Its so sad how this guy just blows any and all opportunities he gets to affect the game day management. Take 95% of the responsibility away from him and he will blow the 5% he still has. Unreal.

Calls a timeout when he could have ran the clock down? Jerry please strip of the timeouts also..............Will we have to wait another 8 years for this rookie to learn how to manage the clock and timeouts? Pathetic.

At the very least, you make them burn a timeout. Its was dumb. No way to sugar coat it.

Oh, and the three points before halftime was immaterial, IMO. Had we run the clock down, the Falcons still would have beaten us 36-28.
I don't see how the three changed the Falcons strategy. They would have done the same thing had the score been 28-14.
We just got beat in the second half.
Furthermore, I think the Weeden interception was a killer because had we move down the field and scored a touchdown - a high probability based on past drives - we would have been up by 21 points. (We were up 21-7 at that time.) We gave the Falcons a short field; they scored and we're only leading by seven.
However, if Weeden doesn't throw the interception, and we stop the Falcons and score before the half, we could have been up 35-7 or 35-10.
I don't expect Weeden to be Romo. But you can't throw that interception. There was no reason to throw that pass. And that became a HUGE momentum changer.

But it's over with. We don't get to go back in the past and change anything. We're 2-1, and I still like our changes against the Saints.

We aren't going to win every game. We lost to a good team with 5 of our 10 best players not playing. A game we could've won. This is not Garrett's fault, or even Weeden's fault. The whole team laid down in the 2nd half, but partially because Atlanta had a good game plan.

Agreed. If Garrett doesn't call the timeout and we either failed to score or turn it over or something people are upset as well. The problem is THE DEFENSE didn't do it's job. Garrett did his job by making sure we got the TOUCHDOWN and not just a FG. I can't believe people are *****ing about this. So many things to ***** about in this game and using a timeout for 3 freaking points when the defense let the Falcons skirt down the field with such ease isn't one of them.

LOL.......it obviously made a big difference because many people are hammering Garrett for it today. Here is another one for you. And these are all Cowboys websites. Its not my fault that you dont get it. Its really a simple concept. Unfortunately for us, our head coach doesnt get it either. Or at least he didnt get it during the game. But guess what? He admitted he screwed up. But hey, didnt make a difference right?

Three points was huge because the Cowboys lost by 11, but it could’ve been only eight on the final drive.

True but then over reaction is nothing new here. In past people have wanted Romo cut as well. Dallas right now needs to regroup look at the positives and negatives of this game and improve on them. I will not call it a gift to Alt they were more physical than Dallas and their run game really hurt the Cowboys

Dallas was outscored, 25-0, to end that game because the Cowboys had zero pass rush, nobody that could cover Julio Jones, nobody that could stop Freeman from running wild when the defense got tired, and Brandon Weeden at quarterback who couldn't or wouldn't throw a ball more than 10 yards downfield. When Jack Crawford is the starting DE, and his backup is a late-round pick in his first NFL game, you're kinda in trouble.

Clock management was completely irrelevant yesterday.

Garrett must still be in "training" so all if well because he will master time management very soon.Garrett got a BIG extension in the Off Season so there are no excuses. Romo is not there to save his butt. Other "Great" HCs win games without their starting QBs and other key players present due to injuries. Furthermore, Garrett and second half adjustments just do not seem to work. I do not know if he realizes that sometimes your game plans need to change during football games. I will lay this one on the defense, but like you said, it was a team loss. Usually is. But this is just another prime example of BAD at game day management. He cant handle it, end of story. Makes BAD decisions. And when your team has injuries and in close games, these little things matter. Like back when we were 8-8 three years in a row. We lost several close games because Garrett blew the game day management. Unfortunately you cant really strip the head coach of timeout calls. Sadly enough.

Dumb timeout, without a doubt. Said it yesterday and was called out in the 1st Half game thread. wasn't the reason for the loss, but it was still terrible clock management. Everything needed to be better yesterday, including the coaching.

Garrett is truly one of the worst football guys I have ever seen. Probably would have been better running for President or some political office.
