Anthony Hitchens

Claiborne is playing very well, and Byron Jones is figuring it out quickly.

There is hope for this pass rush, and this defense, on the horizon.

I guess I am.

I'd just be a lot more frustrated if this was our best players out there floundering around.

Romo
Dez
Scandrick
Hardy
Gregory
McClain
Lee
Dunbar

Those aren't just random guys missing out there in that second half. That's 8 of your top 15 players.

We need something to hang onto to. Will it be enough? Stay tuned as that is why they play the games.

Yeah I know.

I had to put an old Army friend in check as he was crowing about the Saints win and all of that. I told him he should not be talking too much stuff considering they just won in OT vs a Cowboys team who was missing their best players on O and D.

I imagine Hardy will come out like gang busters and try to tear it up...just hope he does not wear himself out like after a sugar rush lol.

No 2 ways about it getting talented players on the field is encouraging. There has been reports that Dez could be back as soon as the NY game, we will see but again if it ends up being the case then again that is big. Day after a loss I get the fact people are upset and discouraged some even giving up on the season. However I think getting legit talent back on the field can turn things around pretty quick.

I think the panic level would be lower if we didn't see New England, New York, Seattle, and Philly on the immediate horizon. When 2-6 seems like a possibility, it's disconcerting, and rightly so.

Dallas has to get one or two of these next four somehow. They've got to put it together quickly to have a chance.

Only 1 of these next four will probably put them out of contention. They need 2 of 4 and I just don't see a way to compete with New England right now, so they need 2 of 3 from NY, SEA and Philadelphia imo.

Pass rush will not factor in if the offense does not score enough points to force the opposition to pass. Pass rush does not help if the ball is coming out quick. I welcome the pass rush...but it will not TRULY factor in unless we are trying to seal a game. And with how putrid this offense is...not sure the opposition will have their backs against the wall needing to pass every down.

I would say another ray is yes we are 2-2 along with NY and Washington. Both teams healthier than Dallas yet not looking like world beaters and they too have some tough opponents and NY already down 1 game to Dallas. Then there is Philly with their own issues and 1-3 with some tough games and 1 down to Dallas. Dallas will get healthier the teams in the NFC East no so much.

Oh great...now a Greg Hardy will save us thread. Frankly.....I thought he played like #$%$ during the preseason......but hey... whatever makes you sleep better during the week. ;)

The offense did enough to win against the Saints. Just a small improvement from the defense and that game would have been a Cowboys win.

That's just not true. This division isn't going to run away from Dallas. 9-7 will win it. Anything 4-6 or better when Romo returns, and they're still very much in this. I'm hoping for 5-5.

Too bad the Cowboys didn't draft Paul Dawson in the 1st...
