The only place I really hear my views on the current state of this team is on these 2 daily shows: the reason the team could afford to part with Demarco is because of the olive and they just aren't holding up their end of the bargain.

The backup QB is doing what he's suppose to do. Everyone else is suppose to step up their game.

Our safetys suck....etc etc

I think that's clear. Weeden is what he is, a backup QB. If he were better than that, he'd be a starter. With Romo out, the rest of the offense needed to step up around Weeden and they haven't done that. This team believed it could rely on a superior offensive line and to this point, that offensive line has let them down.

That line, running game, and ball control also helped a less than stellar defensive unit last year as well. And that's not happening this year either.

They will be getting two star defenders back this week, but until the issues in the offensive line get corrected, I think this team will continue to struggle.

Is Demarco an alcoholic?

Can just see Jerry jacked up on Johnny Walker saying we can afford to let Demarco go because of the Olive.

Once Romo walks back onto the field, many of our ills will suddenly disappear.

No doubt. But what about until then? If the remaining guys don't step it up, there will be little, if anything, to play for at that point.

I understand that losing Dez changes things, and losing Romo changes things even more, but that doesn't excuse all of the struggles these other players have had, specifically the offensive line.

They could depart with Demarco because of the olive? :) I know what you meant, but I did a double take when I first read that.

On my way to work...no time for proofreading. Also...thread is about the state of the TEAM.

What happens when Romo walks off the field for good? Our succession plan appears to be the wildcat.

Prbly be the same plan like when the colts let Peyton go...

Epicly suck and hope that a Luck of a QB is there for the taking

The olive is banged up right now...

I agree something is amiss with the Olive, be it the stinger to Martin or the TSmith injury, the Saints game I did see improvement not much but some vs the Falcons game.

Yeah, I think more than what's reported.

And our opponents are successfully putting more men in the box, due to lack of skills of our QB (who's "limited").
