Am I mistaken or did he say "he's a great player. He's the one that took out Romo." Towards the end of the game. Is there no semblance of respect in the media anymore?

Whoever said that is mistaken. Moore is hardly a great player. He's a solid rotational 4-3 DE.

Regardless of the quality of Moore I don't think the MNF broadcast booth is going to praise anyone taking out Tony Romo even if the phrasing leaves some gray area. Gruden is the least controversial announcer on the planet because he keeps all of his future coaching bridges from being burnt.

Gruden said it. Any player he talks about he says they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I did hear the comment and found it a bit odd. I think he was just trying to say he was the player who got to Romo when Romo inured his shoulder. i think he meant it was a good play for him to get to Romo and not saying it was a good thing that Romo got injured.

Yes-- he was talking about Hicks. Said he is the guy that knocked Romo out of the game. I don't have a problem with the comment actually.... The hit was clean and Hicks forced a fumble during the sack. Great play. I want guys on my D to play hard, hit hard, and if they play clean and tough and opponents get hurt and have to leave the game-- that's just icing on the cake.

I'm sure we would have been fine with it if Brady got hurt by Hardy last week.

Gruden seems to know more about the players he covers than any other announcer. He does his research. Don't start anything here, he didn't say it in that context. Gruden is a huge Romo supporter.

It was a division changing play. No problem with the comment because it was not a dirty play.

To bad the Dallas Dline cant take out Bradford when we play him next time. He is much more valuable for us if he remains as the Eagles starter. That Dline will have to let up on the hits. :D

Was it dirty - I don't know - did her purposely drive him into the turf - that is an obvious yes! Purposely driving into the turf is a personal foul on the QB I believe.

No-- watch the play again. The guy was tackling Romo to keep him from recovering the fumble. The hit was clean and he finished the play. I'd want any one on our D to do the same thing. Injuries are a part of the game-- our OL did not protect Romo well enough on that play, and it has put this season in jeopardy. Blame them-- not the guy who put the hit on Tony.

It's the way football used to be played. It's borderline today for sure.

The problem with Gruden is his praise/criticism is based on the latest results. Until halfway thru the 2nd quarter, NY and Eli were a rising force in the NFCE, and Kelly's Eagles were bumbling and stumbling. By the fourth quarter, the Eagles were a legitimate first place team with a great D (including the DBs), and the Giants hopelessly crippled by the O and D lines.

He did agree with his counterpart that this was a horribly played football game by both parties.

He's like every other announcer in that he over plays the " in the moment" buy his take on games and players is second to none imo. He's by far my favorite commentator during games. Can't say the same for Aikman.

That new outrage society y'all smh. People really hear things some strange ways nowadays

Yeah, I heard Gruden say that crap as if it was so awesome to be the one to take out Romo. It made me mad.
