0-4 without Romo. Can they steal one of the 3 remaining?

2-14 is a VERY REAL possibility

I can see an implosion Ala Wade coming

I don't see that happening. They play hard under Garrett, they quit under Wade. Having said that, if they are going to stink the rest of the season why not go 2-14. Get a better draft pick. Maybe draft a QB.

I am going to call it now. We win 3 in a row. The D played pretty good today. Only gave up 10 points. Matt c looked a lot betterthan Weeden even with the 3 ints and will get better with more game time. The 3 teams remaining before Tony returns are all very beatable. I like how we found our run game today and that gives me a sense of good things to come. Flame away but this is not over yet. I thought going in that if we lost the season was done. But with the run game and thE D today I think we got a good chance to go 3 for 3. The coachs did a good job today not sure why everyone is on their case.

LOL no the coaches did not do a good job.

I don't know what some of you guys are watching.

With an extra week off, this team was not focused at all. The turnovers, the penalties, the return KO for a TD. You can't have that especially after a bye week.

While I might slightly agree.... Things started small with Wade, then went full throttle quickly.

Lots of little things are going on, which JG should have control over.....the somewhat I've seen from him is in regards to Randle.

Things that happen on game day, during the game are my concern.... Implosion is possible

We had 233 yards rushing, and the defense allowed 13 points.

SInce 1970, when teams have 200+ yards rushing in a game, and their defense allows 13 points, they are 114-3. Here are the three losses.

1986 Detroit 13 Philadelphia 11
1991 Denver 13 Minnesota 6
2015 NY Giants 27 Dallas 20

And then a majority of this board says the season is over. That's the point. It's not like the Giants are world beaters. They will have more losses coming their way. They aren't that good.

0-4 without Romo. Can they steal one of the 3 remaining games with Romo?

Which one?

Seahawks?
Eagles?
Bucs?

I see the winning the Bucs game and when Romo returns they are 3-6.

Anybody see it differently?

They need to win all 3.

I am a MSU fan (live 60 miles away), however, I just can't convince myself Connor Cook is going to be a particularly good QB in the NFL.

I think his ceiling is Joe Flacco. I guess that's not terrible but I have trouble getting excited about it either.

Agree. He's not that good. I'm from Michigan and good to see that MSU is doing great this year. I never had a favorite college team growing up so it is probably anyone that plays against U of M. My favorite is Wayne State since I graduated and play football there, but just a D2 program.

Doubtful. Very doubtful. If any of them, possibly the Bucs.

Doesn't matter. Season is likely over. I'm just hoping for a fun end of the season when Romo and Dez are back.

Why? What the heck does that accomplish? At this point just tank the season where something worth a damn actually comes out of a wasted season.

These stupid moral victories to make you feel good heading into the offseason are pointless and do absolutely nothing to better this team.

I expected a win today and a loss next week which would have set up a big showdown for 11/8

Us at 3-4 and Eagles at 4-3 or 3-4. But I don't see us beating seattle at all so that 11/8 game won't be much of a showdown because we will likely be 2-5.

It really annoys the hell out of me that the Giants never get up to play the eagles but always bring their A game when they play us.

I don't even have an appetite right now

You call that their A game. They played pretty horrendous on offense and their defense wasn't much better.

Cool!

I attended a few classes at Wayne State back when I lived in the Detroit area.

These days I mainly attend Grand Valley games --- they play Wayne State every year -- you probably played against them.

As much as I love Tony and Dez give me a top five draft pick if the season is in fact lost over meaningless victories that hurt the draft position like in 2010. Also no need to risk them if the season is over.

I agree. Many of us will get no enjoyment in being 6-10 or 7-9. I would rather lose out than go 7-9.

For all intents and purposes, this season is over. Contrary to what the media says about how 9 wins will win this division, the magic number is 10. I said earlier in this week this team needed to win 3 of the next 4 to have a chance. The 3 winnable games were NY, Philly, and TB..and they blew it. No way they get Dez to sit out, but they should definitely shut Romo down. This thing is over, thanks Beasley, Carr.

Haha so Cassel just gets a pass for those moronic interceptions or T-Will not being able to run a comeback route?

How about horrific special teams. Sibouchi or whatever his name is needs to go.

sure, add them too. Beasley & Carr were first to come to mind.

We had our most winnable games against the Saints, Falcons, Giants.
We lost all three games.
Somebody keep the faith for me because I'm doubting Thomas about now. :(

exactly. i feel the same way. its hard to keep the faith that we are still in this.

we just arent a well coached team at all. Romo covered that up well.

maybe a miracle will happen and we somehow pull it off. if that does that would be epic because we would have overcome so many odds.

Yes. My head coach was Brian Van Gorder who now coaches (defensive coordinator) at Notre Dame with Kelly. Kelly, of course coached at Grand Valley. Unfortunately we haven't beat Grand Valley in a long long time.

I think you are being very reasonable. With these catastrophic injuries, players had to be mistake free and the coaching staff had to somehow get more out of the talent left than anyone thought was possible. And it was a failure. As former NBA player Michael Ray Richardson said back in the 80s about his Knicks team:
"The ship be sinkin".
