Matt Cassel was as advertised

The long pick was horrible. On the out if Williams would have came back to the ball and fight for it, it wouldn't have been a pick. The one across the middle was a great play by the db.

Yes, that didn't help, but spotting the team potentially 10 points doesn't do much, either. Did you have much confidence that he was going to drive down for a game winner with 1:20 left?

The Giants knew he wouldn't that's why they were perfectly happy running three times and punting it. Plus Cassel just failed on the previous drive that could have tied it after the Harris return. Cassel stinks

I don't know about a flag on that play, but the refs spotted the Giants 14 points with an early whistle on the fumble and the horrible interference on Street.

Cassell didn't make me miss Weeden enough. With the way the run was working, I have to think we would have won today even with Weeden's dink and dunk style. I think it's damned if you do, damned if you don't with those two.

Remember, Weeden was replaced, because he was seemingly afraid to make plays. Considering how long Cassel has been here, I only expect him to improve from today. He'll still throw some ints, but I also expect him to make more positive plays as well.

Well, at least he's better then Weeden lol.

With 3 INT's, only 1 TD and a 62.3 passer rating the jury is still out on that. One of his INT's was a floating duck that was worse than anything I saw Weeden throw.

They asked him to hit Romo passes IMO, in his first game, on the road against the Gents.

It actually looked like an NFL QB out there, compared to the last 3 weeks.

It doesn't help our WR'S suck.

Cassel should've had 5 INT's in the game the Giants missed on a pick-six in the first half and dropped another sure INT that Cassel threw directly to the defender.

I don't know what games you are watching, but that isn't an NFL QB. He's an emergency stop-gap. I'm not saying Weeden is, either, by the way.

Cassell sucks but at least he looks like an average to bad NFL QB, to have Weeden on the roster is just plain ridiculous, and that falls on the GM and Coaches.

People won't admit it because of some weird irrational hate for Weeden, but it is likely true. For this one game, we needed a Weeden performance and instead we got a bootleg Andrew Luck. Also, Weeden in his 3 starts was a lot more accurate in the short game. Cassel did show considerably more "magic" than Weeden and I was encouraged by that, but the turnovers were ridiculous (and there were at least two more that should have been turnovers).

The Cowboys chances of winning with Cassel are going to be worse than they were with Weeden if he continues to turn the ball over. The Seahawks defense will feast on him if he continues to make the errant throws we saw today.

My point is with this stupid offense, what did you expect a guy that has beeen here for what 4 weeks come in and be Romo! They took too many chances.

I thought he had a decent arm, but today, he didn't have any zip on the ball. He has a Chad Pennington type arm, without the accuracy.

Last week, you complained that they were too conservative.

Dude is what he is, and was rusty to boot. Still better than Weeden. Still, one more turnover fest and it's time to play the little guy from Boise St. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Last time we were this bad at QB we had Clint Stoerner and Ryan Leaf on the roster.

He never had a great arm, but it was adequate. This is why I was worried about the Brad Johnson effect. Johnson sat on the bench for a couple of years here, but we didn't need him so we never saw him. Then when we needed him, it was clear his time had come and gone but how are you going to see that if he's not playing real games? A legitimate question needs to be raised if Cassel still has an NFL arm. It's not even about the interceptions... I held my breath every time he threw because of the lack of zip.

That's because Weeden checked down 90% of the time
