Hardy could have just said that he didn't feel like talking, the way kept saying "Anymore questions?" "No comment" was very condescending and unnecessary. If it was an Eagles player who did that, we would all call him a punk, I think Greeny's assessment was fair.

Oh no, pearl clutching over the media's feelings. Cry me a river.

This new modern day definition of respect is goofy. Was he wrong , yea sure. Was it disrespect? Absolutely not. And guess what , even JJ agrees. Saying more guys should do it. You probably don't like Dez going nuts on the sideline either.

You're right. I don't like Dez when he goes off-- but let me clarify.

I don't mind yelling and getting in people's faces. When it gets physical-- that's when a line is crossed. Period. Get emotional. Yell and fire people up. BUT don't let it turn physical. You are then disrespecting the coach/player and you've become a distraction that the team has to deal with for the next week.

I am fine with the sideline stuff until you push a coach. That's a line you can't cross in my opinion.

However, the media is out of control with this. A local sports reporter in San Antonio named Don Harris just said in his 6 O'Clock segment, "Is this the same [emotion] Hardy showed with his ex-girlfriend?" Quite simply, one of the most irresponsible things I have ever heard a news anchor say. I am tempted to lodge a formal complaint, but I know it wont go anywhere.

What's your point?

Because he has an intense workplace environment-- he can therefore disrespect his teammates and coaching staff b/c he's so "passionate"? Ridiculous.

Sideline episodes happen from time to time-- but don't act like it's "normal". Every NFL team frowns upon it-- and it should NOT happen-- or be accepted. He could have taken responsibility after the game and apologized and said his emotions got the better of him. But he didn't.

I don''t hate him as a player. I get just as frustrated when Dez gets into shoving matches with teammates... Being a great player doesn't give you the right to be an ***hole.

Being an a hole is what makes them great players. Witten does it too. Trust me you don't want to come up on some of these guys in that moment. Sometimes you got to let them compartmentalize it in their own way and if you grab that bull you're going to get the horns.

Yep.

But who gave the media the ammo? Hardy.

And that is exactly the problem. The guy seems out of touch with the situation he's in and how he's being perceived. If he can't control his emotions for his own good, then he should at least control them so his teammates don't have to deal with the media storm.

This is who he is. We have to get used to it.

Uhhh... are you comparing Witten with Hardy? Really?

And there is a BIG difference between getting emotional and yelling, and physically entering into a confrontation with a coach.

Right this moment they are bashing Hardy on ESPN's Monday Night Countdown. It seems it never stops.

He gave the media the ammo, no doubt. Like I said, I appreciate his fire and his desire to win, but you can't put your hands on a coach.

Either way, all of these events are mutually exclusive and it takes uninspired and lazy journalism to jump on them. The guns blazing would have actually been pretty damn funny if it was among friends. If he was my friend and made that comment to me he'd get a high five. As it were, I don't think he had any idea what he was saying when he said it.

The media has the dumbest reactions ever. In a violent game where 230+ pound men pound each other into the ground, coaches curse players, players trash talk and curse each other, millions of dollars of gambling surround the event, etc. the media is getting all wound up about a player getting angry at his special teams crapping their pants and knocking a clipboard out of a coach's hands. If this was Brady they'd just ignore it or say how much passion he has because he's the golden white boy. They need to find something else to do instead of repeatedly trying to dog some individual because he plays on a team they hate or whatever lame agendas they are driven by. They are the prime forces of hate generation.

the only shove/bump I saw was from Bisaccia

Greg Hardy definitely initiated the altercation. He swipes at Biaschia's clip board and in the process catches the coach too.

Hardy's best contribution might honestly have come from knocking Biaschia out for the season... lol
