Well, I am not really sure I appreciate the racial connotation, but OK...

Sorry, but I think race plays a role. I'm not racist against whites. I'm not racist against anyone. But being a minority myself, I'm also not naive to the environment that I reside in.

At least Hardy didn't do something like this and get a 15 yard penalty for it.

Remember last year when the St. Louis TE (Cook) was shoving his own team mates around on the sideline in the Dallas game?

It happens. Tempers flare. The entire digital world wasn't losing it's mind over Cook doing that. I never heard it mentioned after that game.

It is just crazy. There is no doubt that a lot of people don't like Hardy and want him to fail. Or, they don't like Dallas, and want him to fail. Or both.

The incident is just a talking point for everyone and they're going way, way overboard, IMO.

The hypocrisy runs deep in this league. ESPN's own employees have longer rap sheets than Hardy.

Hardy is just different and that makes people nervous.

Yeah I understand what Greenberg is saying. But all of these other people are hypocrites. Bradshaw talks about how the NFL isn't for people like Hardy but he loves the rapist in Pittsburgh.

Bradshaw and Big Ben actually had beef with each other for awhile. Not sure where they stand now.

And there is a BIG difference between getting emotional and yelling, and physically entering into a confrontation with a coach.

Witten is the most intense guy with his helmet on. When he comes off the field he's a teddy bear but on it he's not a guy to be trifled with in the moment. And he got into it physically with a coach last year.

Why do I have to get used to it? See that's the problem with a lot of things today, things that are completely messed up in this world, people "just get used to it". No, absolutely not, sure it may never change but that doesn't mean I have to accept it or condone it. JMO.

Yep-- all those examples are shots of players doing dumb things. I never said Hardy was the only guy in the history of the NFL to do this. BUT none of it should be tolerated-- and besides that-- a player on player altercation is different than player on coach. Period.

If people have an agenda and want Hardy and/or Dallas to fail as you suggest-- why would Hardy give those critics any ammo at all? Any way you cut it-- this should not have happened-- whether it's Greg Hardy or Tony Romo getting into it with a coach.

Just acknowledge that and move on. There really is no defense for that type of behavior.

And just like you pointed out, you never said he was the only guy in history to do it... I never said it was a good idea for him to do it, nor did I say that it was the smart thing for Greg to do.

I would have certainly said the right things to the media prior to the New England game, and I wouldn't have knocked the ST coach's clipboard down while yelling at him either... but I'm not Greg Hardy. There are NFL players that do and say things all the time that you nor I would say. They are violent, aggressive alpha dogs that deal with physicality every day as part of their jobs. While pushing around a co-worker is absolutely incomprehensible to you or I... it is something that happens with regularity in the NFL. Look no further than the fight in camp with the Rams. That never happens in any other workplace except for sports.

And I understand where you're coming from... and I'm not really addressing my posts to people with your viewpoint. I'm more talking to the people who are saying he should be cut. Or suspended. Or arrested. Or expelled from the league.

Some people (not you) are just going crazy with it.

I can't believe Steve Young is opening his mouth about Hardy. This is the same guy that cursed out and went on a sideline rant when George Siefert benched him in a game when they were getting blown out at home against the Eagles in 1994.

I mean he totally showed up the Head Coach on the sideline.

It's all good....and I hear where you are coming from.

I don't want to see him get cut. I just think what he did was wrong. All he needs to do IMO is apologize, acknowledge he let his temper get the best of him and move on. After all-- we've all made mistakes, we've all done stupid things. I get that.

He's a lightning rod right now-- and the smarter thing to do is to just lay low for a while. IMO-- he's putting himself and his team in a tough situation b/c he can't control his temper. Giving the rabid media more meat to chew on....smh
