Clemson hasn't been ranked number one or even respected this much since the 80s. This is going to be the teams best opportunity to do something with a down SEC and ACC. As far as Michael goes, all he has to do is show he is a professional and has the drive and desire. He just has to work hard. There is no one of real substance in front of him. For him to be in the position he is in right now and still not "get it" doesn't say much for him. There is a real chance he will never get a better shot at a starting job, than the one he's apparently in no hurry to seize right now. The jury is still out, but they're definitely deliberating.

Some people just don't know a gifted horse when they see one. Sigh.

We blow big games just as often as every other college football team, but regardless, that is the rep we have to live with.

Unless we get the first or second pick in the draft, Fournette will be long gone. But him behind this offensive line? Whew!

Randle never did anything as the starting back.

McFadden did.

He didn't have it handed to him he earned it by producing something Randle didn't do.

Randle averaged 4.7 ypc in the 4 losses that he played in. That's 4.7 ypc with defenses loading up against the run because Romo and Dez were out.

Murray in his all world season last year had a 4.7 average.

McFadden's best average in a game was 5.8 ypc while Randle's best average was 6.2 ypc.

Randle didn't fail because of a lack of ability or terrible performances. He failed because he's either a moron or he's insane.

Oh, I am trying to. They just have let me down too many times. Like in '00 with Woodrow Dantzler, highly ranked Clemson team overlooks an unranked Georgia Tech team, loses and then gets shellacked by FSU the next weekend. Or how about when they were undefeated in 01 and lose at home to an unranked UNC team featuring Darian Durant and Julius Peppers? How about being undefeated in '10 and going to GT and getting waxed? How about allowing 70 points in the Orange Bowl to West Virginia? Hmm, being ranked #4 and getting embarrassed by FSU at HOME in 2013?
