After the last 7 weeks, anyone who wants to continue to hate on Tony shouldn't be taken seriously, IMO.

Cool...but at the same time, don't put the rest of this season on Romo just because he came in. Romo just finished one game. He got banged up. His team won the game. The Panthers are going come in on Turkey day and make this defense look like a pee wee team. Wait for it....just sayin.

Teams lose football games for more reasons than coaching. When it actually is coaching, I'll blame the coaching. But it wasn't coaching during this stretch.

Half of our game plans during this stretch were run run pass the entire time.

The amount of predictability was horrid and I've never seen such middle school game plans from a NFL coaching staff before.

Too bad Romo has to miss so much time. Still impossible for playoffs. If only we could have beat TB.

Couldn't win a single game without Romo..

I watched several teams win today with their backup.

Garrett offers nothing. He's one of the worst coaches in football and is completely Romo dependent.

Look, bro. Minds are made up. There are valid points on both sides, but no one is changing their opinion at this point. Too much ego involved.

To me, if a team goes 0-7, there's plenty of blame to go around and that includes coaching. Just the nature of the biz. If I'm running a business, and I think all my processes are dandy but say, a key logistical factor goes haywire, I can't sit back and rely on that factor to just fix itself. I have to get innovative to get results.

I like Jason, and I like this team. Anyone with a brain can see what he's done for this team as far as talent and the cap. But if there's one knock on him, in my opinion, is that he's not very innovative. That's a good and bad thing I suppose.

One of the big things from the game? We had the ball at around 4 minutes or so and we were able to hold on to the ball instead of 3 and outting a couple of times in a row, giving the opposing offense a couple more attempts at putting up points.

The talent on the team is fine.

The team just looks sloppy and poorly coached.

Romo saves all and Garrett offers nothing to this team.

People with this viewpoint have serious issues. Your hate clouds your judgement. Romo and Garrett are joined at the hip. Always have been and always will be. You live in an alternate universe.

Don't really understand the thread..

Were there people out there saying we would not be a better team with Romo?

Wait, when was he responsible for the cap? And this embarrassing collection of talent couldn't pull out one game without Romo.

I've never seen so much praise for a .500 HC and 1 playoff win with a franchise QB in all my years watching football.

0-7....

These coaches proved their worth.

If the coaches stayed the same and the team transformed with Romo starting then it is what it is. You can actually make a deduction from that because the coaches are not unique to either circumstance whereas Romo is.

You have too many posts to ask this question. They are hiding right now, but will come out of the woodwork if we lose with Romo.

Preach.
taking snaps from Weeden and Cassel would have been lucky to crack 1000yds.

Yep. Just go back and look at the Arizona game last year when Tony didn't play. Murray didn't look anything like he did with Romo backing the defense off of the line of scrimmage.

I said it this past off season... Romo and the passing game was a huge part of the big year Murray had. This season, when Dallas didn't have Romo to worry the defense, the run game has looked pretty much like it did in that Arizona game last year.

Third downs are crucial to any offense, but this offense, to generate enough plays to keep drives going and to keep defenses guessing, needs third down conversions in a big, big way. Romo converts at better than twice the rate the other two QB's did. Shorter and fewer drives will kill any chance of a RB having a big day. And that is without even talking about the defense having to worry a lot about the pass.

Frankly, I'm surprised that the Dallas run game has as many yards as it does this year. Teams have been loading up on it and only half worrying about the passing game. Doesn't matter if Murray was here or not.

Now, it will be a different story. The NFL has another thing coming.

The team was in every game except for the Patriots game, and even then it could be argued that they were in that one as well.

Except for a break here or there, Dallas would have had 2, 3,... maybe even 4 more wins. Even the Fox crew today (Howie Long I think) was saying that Dallas easily could have won several more.

It was a great group of QB's that Dallas faced with Romo out, and they still were right there at the end.

What?

Romo is carrying a dead weight. That's the only way I know how to respond to what you just said.
