I don't know.. That skill gap looked pretty wide.


A lucky submission is the only way I think Holm will lose to her.


After the first round of the last fight I knew Rousey was about to lose unless she pulled off a miracle submission. Same thing will apply in the rematch imo.
 
She deserved it.

No excuses. She got walloped. Never recovered. Got walloped, again. Out!

She has to be smart and fight her fight.

I think she wanted to prove something going in. To Fight any fight and win. Clearly not what happened.


Makes me think of Hasim Rahman vs Lennox Lewis fight 1. Hasim caught him. Over.

Agree that she'll have to do something different but she did get her down once and Holm got out of it pretty easy.

The first 2 minutes of the fight Rousey was doing her typical thing.

Plus Holm is going to have a long time to just train for Rousey and get better on technique.


Holm has been a world champion boxer, kickboxer, and now UFC.

If she beats Rousey again then imo she has stolen everything away from Rousey and everything they said about Rousey should be said about Holm.

No doubt it won't be easy and of course Holm could win again.

Holm might be Rousey's (Iran Barkley to Thomas Hearns)
 
I think Rousey wins the rematch.

She isn't going to come out planning to try and bang with Holms again.

If Holms keeps it on the feet and is able to keep it a striking match she will win again.
 
UFC president Dana White told Los Angeles Times on Wednesday that "it's Rousey" next for Holm. The Times printed a story earlier this week, quoting Holm's manager, Lenny Fresquez, stating Holm has interest in fighting Miesha Tate instead.


Fresquez told the Times: "Holly's used to staying active. We're from the old school, and we believe the No. 1 contender is there for a reason. [Tate] deserves a shot, but it's not for me to decide."

I think the skill gap looked wide because she went outside her style. She got cocky and thought she could beat anyone at their own game. You can't kickbox with a world champ kickboxer, and Holm couldn't grapple with Rousey.

Watch the first 2 minutes of the fight.

It looked like she was fighting outside of her style because she was chasing and pressuring Rousey.

She tried and did get Holm down once but Holm got away with no real threat.

Also, Holm did take Rousey down.


I don't see any way Rousey beats her unless she pulls off a lucky armbar.
 
Rousey always is super aggressive in all of her fights, it wasn't any different against Holm. She showed poor fighter IQ by being over aggressive with Holm.

3-6 months of Rousey sh** talking done.

Holly earned the right to take other fights.

She could ruin the buildup if she loses though.
 
Fight was over when Rousey caught that elbow square in the kisser. Said she was concussed. I think unless the next fight is fixed to set up a third more lucrative match, Holm win the rematch. Styles make fights and matador beats bull.
 
If Ms. Hollywood doesn't focus on her training this time, she's gonna get her *** beat again.
