I take issue with "no mas" fight.

Leonard wouldn't stop bs'ing around. It was more like ***** this. I'm out.

It got twisted into something else.

Leonard was sticking and moving. It really doesn't matter why Duran quit, he did.

It's called boxing, which includes movement and ringmanship. And Leonard had it a plenty.

Football is a brutal sport. Theyre not throwing punches at you, but a grown man throwing all his body weight at you for a ball, that sounds like a neanderthal sport to me.

football is a brutal sport, but hurting your opponent is not the purpose. that is the whole purpose of MMA

Landing punches and not getting hit by punches is fighting 101. That would apply to boxing as well.

It's stupid that people complain when a person is great at landing shots and not getting hit. As if the boxer has some duty to the fans to allow himself to get hit a bunch just so those fans can be happy with a fight.

But dancing is for boxing. See Sugar Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard. :)

My point stands. He stopped fighting because of the frustration of Leonard playing instead of fighting.
Not because he was a beaten man.

Does it really matter why he quit? He quit. When Ray stood before him and exchanged punches, Duran wasn't quick enough to do any damage to him.
And as far as history goes, "No Mas" will live in infamy because everyone knows, absent not being able to finish, you don't quit on a boxing match. It's like walking off a football field because the running back doesn't run to your position or the quarterback doesn't throw in your area code.

You know, finish the fight. :)

Reminds me of Sugar Ray Leonard in his first fight against Roberto Duran. He wanted to prove he was tough and fought Duran toe-to-toe - and LOSS.

Next time, he fought Duran HIS way, with speed and foot work and humiliated Duran.

We'll see if Rhonda can do the same.

I don't think she can
Holm is a composed and experienced fighter who had been in many big moments before. She will be more confident and prepared the next time. Rousey miscalculated. Her only shot would be to take Holm down VERY quickly. If this is a real fight, Holm wins IMO
