Now Ill be the first to say these 2 idiots on BSPN are just clowns most of the time but they nailed it about Jerry & Jason and why Mr Teflon still has a job. SAS brought up the race issue and the frustrations for blacks in America and how thy dont get as many passes as the white Garrett but he clarified that he wasnt saying Red has his job still because he is white but because Jerry likes him.

Any other coach with Red's track record would have been fired was the point of what they said and IMO they nailed it.

Stephen A is flat out wrong about that.

I would bring up Marvin Lewis and Lovie Smith to him, both who have had multiple "passes" with little success yet somehow have kept head coaching jobs. I

I'll buy friendship - I'm not buying race.

Although agree Garrett hasn't met the expectations I had for him, except 2014, I do hope in fairness that SAS doesn't forget Marvin Lewis in Cincinnatti, who has been given numerous opportunities despite not winning playoff games.

I'm not sure about that.

Yeah, I immediately thought of Lewis, cowboy fans would have burned down the stadium if Jerry had stuck with a Marvin Lewis this long. And yeah, I get we.re the Cowboys, we expect more, blah, blah..but still

They both acknowledged Marvin Lewis as the exception.

Just to clarify for those that didn't see it. Stephen A. said that Garrett represents a lot of the frustration that a lot of people see in the lack of opportunities for Black coaches. Specifically citing the 3 straight 8-8 seasons, while Hue Jackson was fired after one 8-8 season. He also said any other white coach would have been fired under Jerry, it's just Garrett's special relationship with him that has kept him here for so long.

Marvin Lewis was mentioned as an exception by SAS.

He brought up race as another topic really and didnt make the "white" excuse for Red. I personally dont think the race issue was necessary in the discussion. I get kinda tired of it really and IMO when race might be a real issue in some circumstances it just gets lumped into the "race card" category so many times because the race issue is just thrown around so often where it doesnt need to be.

Very well stated. Thats exactly how it was said.

Why was the race card even brought up... especially when SAS even said that wasn't the reason Garrett is still the coach? It's like he just looks for any reason to work that crap into his discussions, no matter how flimsy... even to the point where he dismisses it himself.

It's a good thing thing the media is starting to call out Garrett, maybe the pressure will get to Jerry.

And the stubborn and senile Jerry will stick with Garrett, or any other coach, to hope to prove them wrong, and he is right.

Not the local media. They come up with every excuse under the son for blame except him.

Maybe Briel, his wife, makes them sandwiches for the pressers!

Steven A., Skip, Jerry. Everybody thinks they are idiots.

But if they ever say anything that agrees with our thinking we come here to quote them.

Did they specify any other past head coaching records that equaled or were less impressive than Garrett's 5-3, 8-8, 8-8, 8-8, 12-4 and 4-8 overall record? Or did they throw their conclusion against the wall during their usual clown show?

Wrong.

Sounds like he continued his diatribe from his Mad Dog radio show.
