I've got chills. The Force Awakens Countdown

Saw it last night. Interesting.

How so? I'm probably going to see it tonight. I won't go in with any great expectations only because I don't think anything can top the original trilogy and folks are saying this has a similar feel the original movie (A New Hope).

Wow. It was a lot of fun, but let's not get crazy.

They can give up to 10 noms. The original was a best picture nom and all three LOTR movies got best pic noms so the precedence is there

Plus Ive seen it on lists as a contender, so its a possibility

Wont win, but could very well get a nom if they go with 10

I saw som extra footage.

Lucas is explaining how Jar Jar is very important, crucial character because he is so funny.

Oh lord....... Vader!

After crazy talk like that there is a reason Disney is now keeping his finger prints off of the Star Wars story. Jar Jar was a mistake.

All I know is that I enjoyed it a lot. I had a great time and that's all I ask from a movie.

I genuinely enjoyed this movie. It was really good, but I have a couple complaints:

1) Did they really have to rehash the E4 storyline again? A droid stuck on a desert planet carrying something it absolutely must deliver to the Rebellion, uh I mean The Resistance. An overmatched, undermanned group of freedom fighters struggling to save the galaxy. Then at the end, once again, we see a bunch of starfighters attack the Death Star 3, uh I mean Starkiller Base, with the goal of hitting it in just the right spot so that it destroys the entire thing before it destroys the good guys. And, once again, we had one of those surprise "he's my father/brother/sister/son/whatever" moments, although overall I thought that Kylo Ren was very well done. His internal conflict was very well handled.

2) I wish they did more to explain the state of the post-E6 galaxy and how we got to that point - and explaining it in some book somewhere does not count. If it ain't in the movie, then that's a shortfalling of the movie. I'm actually reading books right now to learn more about it, but thinking "gee, it would have been really nice to, you know, actually mention that in the movie itself."

I honestly believe I would have enjoyed this movie even more if I didn't know anything about Star Wars. That way everything would have been brand new. Instead, it was a lot of stuff we've all seen before. Nevertheless, a very enjoyable couple of hours.

Im trying to find a pic of Snoke from the film to use as my desktop background at work. So far no luck
