I've got chills. The Force Awakens Countdown

Just got back from a midnight showing. Pretty damn good movie. moved fast for 2:15min. Couple of things I thought they could have done a tad better with the characters and climax, but night and day better than the prequels. I'm ready for Episode VIII

Apparently Kanye West and a couple friends were in our theater, my wife talked to him and let him though since I was parking. I wanted to ask him if he liked fishticks - but didnt get the chance or see him

Perfect 10 out of 10.

My new ranking of the saga films:

1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. The Force Awakens
3. A New Hope
4. Return of the Jedi
5. Revenge of the Sith
6. Attack of the Clones
7. The Phantom Menace

Nothing tops Empire. Gotta put the first one (A New Hope) at #2. That was the best character development and really set the stage for everything. This was #3. couple of character portrayals (villain and one British accent ) and climax x-wing fighter/Tie fighter scene (seemed to be a rip off of #1 done more for pure nostalgia).

No Ewoks or JarJars so #3. Sets up VIII well

No comment on the Star Trek Movies themselves... just the critics, and Rotten Tomatoes/ IMDB

Payola is in full effect. I don't trust the critic reviews anymore.. anyone can be a critic, its not a small field anymore. I generally trust the NY, Chicago & LA Times, Variety, Time Magazine, USA Today... maybe a few others...

When someone says "Well it got a Rotten Tomatoes Fresh Rating of, blah, blah, blah" It makes me laugh... because thats just a part of the advertising game. The only way you will know if a film is good, is by seeing it. And Someone will most likely disagree with you.

"The Guest" got 90% on RT. I just saw it in Netflicks and I don't trust RT anymore.
IMDB, I normally go with it.

That being said, I'm also sure a bunch of these critics have certain motivations to like certain movies.

Spoiler Alert... Turns out some folks love Star Wars more than me. I unexpectedly sold my ticket at the theater this morning for 10 times the amount I paid for it.

My stepfather who raised me until I was 14 took me to see the very first Star Wars. The man used to come home from work at night wake me up to play Intellivision with him(yes i'm old 45). He taught me alot he used to say THE FORCE is what compels you to good and bad in life. During the movie last night I smiled and cried. They were tears of joy for 1. Having him in my life to guide me to do the right things and 2. Because i felt like a 7 year old kids again with no worries and that the World was still an open Universe......I know corny....but its truly from my heart...

MAY THE FORCE ALWAYS BE WITH YOU MY COWBOY/STAR WARS FAMILY
