He seems to have regressed this year. He's played the same amount of games at last season, but his snaps are down about 100 snap and his tackles are also down. He seems to be healthier but he hasn't been as active as he was last year. Last season he was getting TFLs, Ints, PDs...what do you guys think? Is he a marginal starter in this league?

He looked slow on that 50 yard run where he couldn't even make the corner is what I noticed.

Cowboys play mainly nickel and Lee and McClain are clearly the best two LBs that are on the field in the nickel defense.

Yep. No mystery. He played a lot as a rookie because he needed to and not so much this year because there were people ahead of him. I still think he's in our plans for the future. Wouldn't be surprised if he's our starting Mike next year and RoMc is off the team.

Hitchens makes more plays at MLB than OLB,,,

inside is where he's better suited to play, out in space he just doesn't have the quickness, agility and speed to play...but I don't see him as a starter, more suited as a backup and special teams player...

Do you think he can start in the middle next year or is he just a marginal guy?

I don't quite agree. I think he makes more plays at the WILL than at the MIKE. He's just not going to see much time in the SAM because so many teams use 3+ WR's.

Nothing really has happened to Hitchens. Sean Lee came back and he's not as good as a healthy Lee. Welcome to the club.

All good points. Bottom line, McClain is proving that he can't be trusted which relates to an unreliable talent. Draft or Hitchens?

The burning question is... Is Hitchens good enough at MLB to consider getting rid of the headcase McClain? Hmmm.....

Is this going to be added to one of your players to dislike on with every post....how has RoMac been unreliable, and a headcase....he has been on the field other than his suspension and knee surgery and concussion. He has made plays...he is in on plays. I guess chasing down Tyrod Taylor yesterday to prevent a first down doesn't count? His head could have said, oh it doesn't matter, I won't risk it and let him get by me...come on man...your posts need to be on that ESPN segment...every week...

He's mainly playing a no-frills position in this scheme now at SLB that probably isn't his best fit. When he's had to step in for Lee or McClain, he's done well. Those are the star LB positions in this defense and the two that stay on the field the most.

Nah. I don't dislike RoMac. I have consistently been one of those that love having him here. That said, no currently player is beyond critique and I wonder if he is the future at the MLB position. The rest of what you said, lmao...
