What happened to Anthony Hitchens?

Exactly what are you basing your opinion on? Just what you're hearing in the media? Statistics? The "eye test"?

I'm basing my questions on my season long eye test and, even in my 40s, my eyes are perfect 20/20 (verified a month ago).

Do you think he can start in the middle next year or is he just a marginal guy?

I think he's the starter at MLB in 16. But who knows what happens if Myles Jack is on the board when we pick

All good points. Bottom line, McClain is proving that he can't be trusted which relates to an unreliable talent. Draft or Hitchens?

I don't want Hitchens at the MIKE unless we need him. We still have Damien Wilson. Have to see his progress. Not sold on McClain. Wouldn't be against drafting another MIKE if need be.

Is this going to be added to one of your players to dislike on with every post....how has RoMac been unreliable, and a headcase....he has been on the field other than his suspension and knee surgery and concussion. He has made plays...he is in on plays. I guess chasing down Tyrod Taylor yesterday to prevent a first down doesn't count? His head could have said, oh it doesn't matter, I won't risk it and let him get by me...come on man...your posts need to be on that ESPN segment...every week...

You must have missed the first half yesterday when your boy looked to be in "full tank" mode?

Common ground. I like him and think he is an incredible talent but long term.. I'm not so sure.

"your boy" ? he is not my boy...I was responding to a post....where do people come up with this...

I assume he's a player you like since you are vigorously defending the guy. The same guy who got suspended, missed training camp again (this time because he chose to wait on surgery than go against team doctors and rehab on his own), and plays hard only when he feels it necessary.

I apologize if you aren't a fan of his, just seemed like it.

He seems to have regressed this year. He's played the same amount of games at last season, but his snaps are down about 100 snap and his tackles are also down. He seems to be healthier but he hasn't been as active as he was last year. Last season he was getting TFLs, Ints, PDs...what do you guys think? Is he a marginal starter in this league?

Hitchens excelled when he played MLB last year. At OLB he wasnt that great of a factor. With Lee returning McClain occupies the MLB spot. Thats in short what happend to him.

Indeed he did... Hence my curiosity.

Hitchens is a solid player, but I don't thinks he's starting material. He's a fantastic back up tho, almost at starting caliber. He can get you thru games when someone goes out, and not totally make your defense fall apart. That being said, with how teams spread the offense these days, you need a guy with speed to get after the dump routes etc. He's got solid instincts, but his speed has always been lacking. You need both in today's NFL. I hope we draft a guy. We certainly have a wealth of picks.

As far as football is concerned, I'm sure that McClain is as smart as anybody on the roster.

Yup. Was a article in which he and s.Lee were football aptitude equals....its attitude that separates them at present
