Hard for anyone to replace Welker. If Amendola wasn't a viable player for NE he wouldn't be there. Prior to being hurt this season he had 65 catches for 648 yards and 3 TD's. He out produced Beasley who has the same role with the Cowboys. As for Fasano he was drafted to be a blocking TE for Bledsoe. He wasn't drafted for the same reason Escobar was which is why the Cowboys traded him and drafted Marty B who they saw as a better receiving TE.

Tom Brady didn't miss any games this year. Do you truly think Amendola does anything more than Beasely with Weeden, Cassell and Moore? And Beasley is getting paid less money.

I'm actually quite happy with our season regardless of how today's game or the remainder of the season goes. I had low expectations coming into the season. It's not like I can't dream though, as unlikely as it may be.

McFadden was a backup to start the season he didn't look good in short yardage in preseason which prompted the trade for CMike.

But they kept him inactive to start the season....

I believe the team just wanted to see what Michael had, they liked him in the draft so they felt he was a good insurance policy. It didn't work out and I don't think he has proven he is any better than what we have...our running game was solid this season especially when you consider how much of a mess our offense was all season.
