If this is true about Wentz, sounds like the salesman is trying to garner interest in Wentz so Goff can slide to 4.
Somebody is inflating Wentz's value by telling a contractor to tell a guy to post that the Cowboys like wentz so other teams will get jealous and totes take wentz before we can?
This is nonsense as exactly I am talking about above.
You have no idea Wentz's motivations nor how he would fare against Div I types.
For anyone who wants to make an actual observation on how he would do against better competition I present the following:
then your probably taking it all too serious. I would careless what people say...if it makes you feel better to post something...do it.
I hear you there.
Part of the issue in the past with spread QBs is that they have lacked every possible QB measurement.
They've often been 6'1" kids hwose DAd's coaches pread in high school and they ran the same scheme in college to the misery of college defensive coaches, lol.
A guy like Graham Harrell that college defenses had zero answer for.
But Goff is 6'4" and 215. That's basically Troy Aikman and the protoype.
He passed for 43 TDs with only 13 INTs. That's insane production.
DeShaun Watson had 13 INT in about half as many passes.
But we are hearing Dallas loves Wentz. No idea how they really feel about Goff. IT oculd very well be they don;t think he'll be around to worry about.
What Goff did in the bowl game was basically tell scouts take me at 1 or get beat for the next decade.
Paxton Lynch with the same opp looked very mortal and raw.
Wentz has never looked anythign but great but he's just never played in those types of games.
His biggest games are in Dalas ... but at a Soccer stadium.
I still think the Browns ultimately go Goff. They need a 2016 starter and Wentz has too many traits that need to be coached out of him. Wentz isnt ready for the show yet and Goff is IMO
Goff is not in Watsons league as a QB
but Wentz did win Championships for his team so he have an idea how to win big games and Goff has won what???? the nfl is about situational football cause most games are close do Goff has that it factor? because idk I haven't seen it can anyone enlighten me if I'm wrong?
Are you kidding.unless Watson improves his accuracy greatly next season I wouldn't even draft Watson in the first rd.
NO Im ABSOLUTELY DEAD SERIOUS he's already the #1 pick next year according to the experts which I had already seen what i needed to see his freshman year and with Watson have you watched his tape from freshman and sophmore seasons or just the national championship game against Alabama because they cldnt stop him? he didn't even have his best receiver this year who is a nfl 1st rd wr talent in Williams.. go back and watch his highlights of his freshman year throwing dimes and accurate passes the ball goes where he wants it to go for the most part and he's still developing , but that's ok folks didn't see it at 1st last year or the beginning of this year I been on this board saying id rather have Watson and plus id say again what ha breaking qb records as a freshman throwing this year he ran more because of Alabama did not have an answer for him Priod and that's with out the top wr on the team who got hurt the 1st game and also losing a key wr before the bowl games for getting in trouble.. so I've watched Goff ive been calling Watson the BEST QB in college football since his freshman year there is not a QB better than Watson right now in this draft
Forget what championships he's won. That's not how you judge a QB. Start off with looking at how many of Aaron Rodgers' records Goff broke at Cal.
Wentz is small time in a small-time conference lost amid the prairie brush. Put him in at Cal against the best players on the West Coast (like Goff) and Wentz would be totally lost. Lost as in Weeden's worst day. Worse. Ever see a 6'4" guy running for his life? That would be Wentz.
Anybody who'd pick Wentz over Goff is beyond help, is not living in the reality of college football, as in HE WENT TO N. DAKOTA FOR A REASON AND THAT REASON IS HE IS NOT JARED GOFF.
but Wentz did win Championships for his team so he have an idea how to win big games and Goff has won what???? the nfl is about situational football cause most games are close do Goff has that it factor? because idk I haven't seen it can anyone enlighten me if I'm wrong?
the point you are trying to make is that he is inferior because he played in a small time college, so using your own logic, doesn't it infer that he played with inferior talent and if surrounded by better talent, he will probably excel even more?
with that said, you don't anything until they come to the NFL. there haven't been that many sure bets in the NFL and a lot of those sure bets have flopped. so could goff, wents etc.
btw, room is from northern Illinois......there is a lot of small time college players in the NFL and lots of big time Heisman trophy winners flop........
Goff is not in Watsons league as a QB
I think the Bisons would have won the Championship with/without Wentz.
If you want a QB that can win with little help (something the next Dallas QB is likely to have to live with) then Lynch is your man.
As for the prospects I think wentz is like a Quincy carter and goff is like a stretched out Drew Brees.
