I don't know that Cam Newton will ever get past that business decision with a title on the line. That will haunt him for the rest of his career.

Manning should have been the MVP. He was amazing. He put on a clinic.

1 of 14 on 3rd down

104 total passing yards

196 total yards

no offensive touchdown drives

And those are DENVER stats.

Amazing that they won.

the reason broncos won is that the panthers are just not really that good when you make mistakes its not so easy to win and be a frontrunner

Yeah.

Carolina gave them 7 points on Cam fumble.
Carolina gave them 3 points on that return where they brain farted and thought he called for fair catch.

They won by 14 ultimately but that changed the game.

Relentless defense. Sorta like when Ravens defense won super bowl vs Giants.

Denver was handed the last touchdown, too. The Broncos offense basically produced a field goal and a 2-point conversion.

Seattle and Carolina have become big rivals in recent years. Will be interesting to see which team has the better off-season. Not only are they built similarly; they also have similar needs going into next season.

I like Manning but why should he be MVP, 1 int, a forced fumble? Von Miller clearly won the MVP, there is no rule that only offensive players win the MVP and Miller did a lot more than any offensive player for Denver. It could be argued DWare should have been co MVP. I don't what game you watched but Manning looked like he needed to be in a clinic for Senior citizens

I hope Denver enjoyed that because free agency is about to guy that team into the Titans.

Yeah I didn't get the comment. Made no sense.

Von Miller was a wrecking machine! Clear cut mvp. Manning wasn't even 3rd option for mvp last night.

Carolina didn't hand the Broncos anything.

The Broncos took the ball from the Panther's offense. The Broncos created those fumbles and interception with a defense that literally stole the show.

It's funny how all year long, when the Panthers created 39 turnovers in the regular season and 11 during the postseason, that nobody talked about their opponents giving them anything with all of those points the Panthers scored off of those turnovers.

The bottomline is that Cam is just like every other quarterback. When he is pressured heavily all day and sacked six times him and his offense are going to struggle.

Wade Phillips dialed up a great game plan and Von Miller dominated the football game. Miller was the best player on the field on the better team.

I agree it was a great defensive battle, Den had 7 sacks and Carolina 5 sacks Ealy from Carolina just like Miller had an outstanding game with 3 sacks and forced fumble and an Int. Nothing in my view was handed to anyone, it was a hard hitting game by both defense who stole the show.

Ealy could have been Mvp in losing cause... Ala Howley.

It is the only Super Bowl in which the Most Valuable Player Award was given to a member of the losing team: Cowboys linebacker Chuck Howley, who intercepted two passes (sacks and tackles were not yet recorded). Howley, the first non-quarterback to win the MVP award, refused to accept it because it was meaningless to him after his team lost.

In a similar vein, Colts defensive end Bubba Smith would later refuse to wear his Super Bowl V ring because of the "sloppy" play

Yeah I remember that SB well. This one was 2 very good defense battling it out and in the end Denver defense was able to make a few more plays that put them over the top.

Ehhhh.....I disagree. There was a point when Alan Ball was the Texans cornerback. Their personnel in Dallas wasn't nearly bad and it wasn't a fluke that we had top 10 defenses at certain points with Wade. This defense didn't show up consistently and when we needed plays in the 4th and Ware was a part of that problem. He played great today. I'm really happy for him. One of my favorite Cowboys of all time.

I never understood how or why he was asked to take a pay cut for underachieving but the WHOLE team was underachieving including the coaches and they weren't asked to take one or restructure.

Ware was asked to take a pay cut not for underachieving but because of nagging injuries that had been plaguing him for a couple of seasons that were limiting his effectiveness. Jerry saw him as an aging, declining player saying that the first thing to go are the legs.

It was relentless... As you said more from Denver.

Reminded of Rocky 2.....

[to Apollo, about a rematch with Rocky]

Duke: He's all wrong for us, baby. I saw you beat that man like I never saw no man get beat before, and the man kept coming after you. Now we don't need no man like that in our lives.

The one thing Eli had over Peyton was the edge in SB wins it just started to sink in that Peyton evened the score. lol

Completely surgical in his precision.
