Just about every blogger out there said they expect Ramsey to kill it at the combine so you can expect hype bordering on the Wentz Senior Bowl hype. My biggest problem with Ramsey is lack of turn overs produced, which in my mind should seporate the 4th pick in the draft from everybody else for this position, whatever position they have in mind.

He'll fit right in here.

Mo cant play so that wouldnt be hard. My point is at number four in the draft I'd like 6 turnovers a year for a safety or shutdown corner. I dont think Ramsey will provide that. Thats what I am talking about as a difference maker.

His Sophomore year playing safety he totaled 5 takeaways and was used as a dynamic blitzer, he made tons of plays for them when he was allowed to roam the field as a safety. This past season he was asked to play on an island and was about as lockdown as anyone in the country. It's rare that a player is all-american at both Safety and CB, yet Ramsey was.

Some of you guys are still burnt by the Mo pick. Ramsey's a stud and universally viewed as a top talent in this class.. he's absolutely worth the 4th pick.

No, some of us recognize the playing field.

Is Rod Marinelli going to use this "dynamic" player like say, the Honey Badger is used in Arizona?

Get out of town with that nonsense.

This is not just "BPA".

It is "best player for this team and what they will be asked to do".

A couple of things....

Ramsey is the #1 player on a few team's boards right now.

Things will change between now and the draft

The Clemson coaches said they gameplanned specifically against Ramsey, wanted no part of him.

I don't trust the Cowboys Front Office when it comes to DB's so who knows

It just amazes me that people view talent and fit separately and do not understand how successful draft choices are made.

This is unmistakably a prospect to keep an eye on at the combine. From the sounds of it, it will be impossible to neglect him. With a pick at 4 he has to be kept in the conversation.

From what i read hr wants to play CB while his best success in college was at safety but we already have a 1st Rd FS on our roster.

Huh?

We have a horrendous secondary.

Ramsey... who just so happens to be a defensive back... may grade out as our top prospect.

This is not a hard concept.

Ugh. More proof this front office doesn't understand how to build a defense. You start up front and move back, not the other way around.

On another note, Risen is going to stroke when he sees this....

They do have a board just like you guys have a board. Now is not the final board since you still have combine and pro days. Think of it as a rough draft and to think Ramsey is at the top for their rough draft is very believable. That being said I bet Ramsey isn't number 1 on the board cone draft time.......although I like Ramsey a lot I think Tunsil and Jack are above him right now. Hargreaves is my number 1 corner and I see Ramsey as a better safety then CB in the nfl

I agree build the trenches. ......Gregory, Lawrence and Crawford. Would still love a DT but LBs( MLB) and secondary needs help.

If we grab a Mebane in free agency then LB and secondary need to be address. You keep Jones at FS you need SS. So maybe grab Janoris and Mebane in free agency then look for a SS in the draft. That gives us plenty of options in the draft

Nobody is saying he is not good.

But when you have a player that has done multiple things for a college program, both with a limited sample size, yet there is not a consistent body of work to evaluate from, how on earth can you say they are the best player?

What you are basically doing is acting like a college program rating the nation's best HS player as an "athlete".

This is the NFL, there is not a lot of time to figure out what the player does best. I would hope there is some idea about his prospects.

He is about as much of a projection player as Myles Jack.

They all are projects man. He started three years on one of the most talented teams in the country. He did not go to Connecticut he went to Florida St. Who would you draft over him?

Love it or hate it, the biggest need going into draft may be corner so it could happen...

It is realistic that we will have a good player coming off a major injury, a player we want to start at FS and a bunch of borderline guys. Hopefully we bring a couple in free agency so it is not such a glaring need.
