Joey Bosa is the pick if he's there at #4.

Also interesting that Nassib had 19.5 TFL despite missing several games at the end of the year. He had 15.5 sacks over that abbreviated period too.

Not arguing that he should be drafted as high as Bosa since he was in essence a 1 year wonder, but if you are looking at 2015 production it's pretty amazing.

Bosa also comes across as a guy that has the potential for some Suh like fines and suspensions. Appears to have some "rage" issues.

Nassib is a curious case to me. Never started until his senior year and it makes you wonder why. But pretty impressive production in just a year.

Bosa is a mean player, but the only thing I have seen him kicked out of a game for is for the silly targeting rule.

Actually his habit of picking up offsides penalties bothers me more.

Another pass rusher with drug issues? No thanks.

Take the QB and develop him for the long term future of this team.

The long term future doesn't win Romo a Super Bowl.

Bosa had several plays throughout his career where you sort of cringed and thought "this is why football is legalized assault." Not that this is altogether a bad thing for a DL, but as you can see with Suh and Burfict, it sometimes comes back to haunt you.

As for Nassib, he's almost unique. He never started a game in high school or college until his senior year. He walked on at PSU as a 6-6, 215 lb. stork. He progressively put on weight over his career and the before and after pictures are pretty funny. He played some in 2014 behind Deion Barnes (who left early for the NFL only to not get drafted). It's only when he earned the starting job in 2015 and had some size that he exploded.

So he's either on a logarithmic trajectory or he's maxed out as a one hit wonder. I guess he's a second round projection by many, so maybe a solid gamble at the top of the third round? Odds of him smoking his way out of the league like Gregory are really, really low.

If bosa is available and he is not the pick it will blow my mind. Ever since the Green Bay game where we couldn't get pressure on a hurt Aaron Rodgers we've said we want to rebuild the line to get more pressure. Bosa couldn't be a better player to go along with Crawford and Lawrence. If you can add bosa and then draft rankins and add a few free agents. The sky is the limit. I wouldn't mind signing a corner back and safety In free agency for the defense. We could also get a steal with scooby wright in the 3rd round.
D-end- bosa
1tech- rankins
3 tech- Crawford
D-end- Lawrence
Wlb- lee
Mlb- wright
Sam- hitchens
CB- Jenkins or Johnson
CB- scandrick/ Claiborne
Fs- jones
Ss- Gibson

On offense gimme Lamar Miller and Travis Benjamin then draft best player available in the 3rd for wr/rb

If they pick him they pick him. I wouldn't expect him to make a big impact this season though.

The right free agents and other picks in the draft might though. The #4 pick should be about the long term future of the team. It's short term, can't see past your nose thinking that has resulted in 20 years of futility.....and counting.

Short term thinking is needed in free agency. But the draft is for the future. That highly valued draft position has to be more than just about 2016 and Tony Romo. The team is bigger than one guy. Even Tony Romo.

I totally disagree. We have 20 years of futility because of jerry Jones down to coaching. The future is now. You approach every season like you want to win a championship. If you are always planning for future success you will never get there.

I think Bosa is a stud. I feel like he is losing steam due to a lack of sacks but he was an extremely disruptive player this year and last year. If you guys are into PFF they had him graded as the highest graded edge rusher both of the pass 2 seasons in college ball.

Jerry Jones agrees with you. That's why this team has done squat the past 20 years. They can't see anything past their nose.

Troy Aikman retires and the team is lost at QB for the better part of a decade. With this attitude, it's going to happen again.

He probably,got on steroids.

Bosa is not a pressure player.

Bosa is not a pressure player.

Bosa is definitely a pressure player. Just because someone is a great run stopper doesn't mean they can get after the qb. He had a ton of sacks and pressures his sophomore year. He was doubled and triple teamed all year this season. He still got a lot of pressures and some sacks. He can get after the qb.

Jerry Jones does not agree with me. If he did he would have had more than one serious super bowl run in 20 some odd years. Dallas didn't neglect the QB position after Aikman. They brought in many. The problem is they never brought in the right one. If you are not all in to win on a yearly basis you will always be chasing your own tail.

Huh?

List the QBs he brought in and see if you can identify one who had serious potential or real talent. No points for claiming that Ryan Leaf was the #2 overall pick and therefore a serious option.

I don't know if you guys pay attention at all to the police blotter but Spence and Bosa were both suspended at OSU for drug use. Not as bad as Randy Gregory, but still a valid concern when drafting this high. (pun intended)

Bosa is a dolt....dumber than a box of rocks. Could be a great player but I don't see it. The fact so many of you are so in love with Spence and Bosa when you know nothing about them is amusing.

Quincy Carter
Clint Stoerner
Chad Hutchinson
Drew Henson
Tony Banks

Nice try. The position was completely neglected. Jerry got lucky that an undrafted free agent worked out. Or he'd probably still be looking.

You don't bring in ex-baseball players, undrafted free agents and pot heads and claim that you didn't neglect the position. If you want to get serious about getting a franchise QB, you have to look at the top of the draft to get one. We are in a unique position to get one. It would be stupid not to choose one if your personnel guys tell you there is a potential franchise QB sitting there.

Thank you for proving my point. You saved me the time of typing the list out for me.

There is a huge difference in neglecting a position and striking out on bad selections.

The problem with this QB draft class is you have a bunch of Jay Cutler's and no Andrew Luck's

Jerry Jones thought they were viable options. I however knew otherwise. He is the GM,not me.

That list of hacks proves my point, not yours. By your definition, Jerry could bring in meth heads, winos, and heroine addicts and you would claim that Jerry didn't neglect the position, he just chose the wrong guys. Theres a difference between picking up bums off the street and seriously trying to find a future franchise QB thru actual due diligence and drafting potential.

The position was neglected completely. It was not taken seriously in any way, shape or form. Anybody who doesn't see that is delusional.

Bosa is the top rated DE and player overall on many draft guru boards for a reason, and it's not just because he stops the run.
He has great pass rush moves; he makes lots of tackles in the backfield, and he had plenty of sacks despite extra attention.

He is not considered a speed edge rusher....so what? We don't run the 3-4 with outside LBs any more. Ware was not great at DE; Von Miller at 250 would not be the same player at 4-3 DE. Reggie White and JJ Watt were never considered speed edge rushers like Ware and Miller either. Guess what? LT couldn't play DE.

I'm not saying Bosa is or will be any of those great pass rushers, but because he's not a speed guy who runs untouched to the QB doesn't mean he's not a very good pass rusher. He's the perfect fit at LDE where he can operate and abuse RT's like Free while we move our smaller speed guys like DLaw to RDE.
