Eagles open to trading Murray

Maybe Buffalo and Philly will swap RBs. Shady McCoy for Murray. One bad contract for another bad contract. One misplaced malcontent for another misplaced malcontent.

Murray has to compete with Forte and Alfred Morris on the FA market. Probably a few more RBs teams might want to dump. Even the Chiefs would probably like to dump Jamal Charles. Injured, too expensive, and the team won without him using cheaper backs. Chargers would probably listen to trade offers for Gordon. And I'm sure the Lions would listen to trade offers for Abdullah. Look for future NFL RB salaries to drop precipitously. I don't think I would even offer Murray $3M/yr.

I would think his deal would have to get renegotiated. I think Eagles and a team would agree on comp and then you reach an agreement with Murray before the deal of finalized
 
Come on home Demarco. Personally I like the idea of Murray/ Mcfadden,. Obviously the numbers need to work. Save us an early round draft choice for defense.
 
Lets trade the #4 pick for him! I mean, we get a young Pro Bowl running back. Most people would love to draft that type of running back with the #4 overall pick!

I say, let the Eagles cut him then we get him for $4-5M/year and the Eagles continue to eat that money anyhow. :)

heh if they cut him now, it's $13M in dead money. Go Eagles, do it!

I doubt the Eagles would take a cap hit like that. I don't think they can. Murray has a shelf life so if you were going to bring him back in, you would really need to do it soon. I don't think you can wait for the Eagles to cut him because that's probably going to take a few years. This year, his cap is 13 million. If they cut him next year, it's 5 million. They may take the hit in 2017 but they may not and even if they do cut him, there is no guarantee he would sign with Dallas again. If you wanted him, it would make sense to make a deal now. Later, you probably get no value out of a deal.

If eagles bit the bullet and ate some of contract that could help initiate a trade. Is that possible? Not with us but in general.
 
Anyone know if you can do a trade and restructure his contract at the same time?

He will continue to struggle in the new system.

I would say I feel sorry for him but in this election season I cant find it in my to feel sorry for anyone in the top 1%.
