Eagles open to trading Murray

Well you would think he would restructure at this point.

Not saying one way or the other but I don't think anyone will want to take on that contract so he will have to redo it if he is really unhappy.
I thought about that, too, but then asked myself "if I were Murray, would I restructure" (meaning take a lesser contract)? The answer I came up with was "why should I?". The only reason that I can see that he would restructure is that he hates it so much in Philly that he would take significantly less to get away from there. That would require a lot of hate. He might be willing to take a lot less, but I have a hard time seeing it. Philly is in a really bad spot with him right now. I don't know the actual numbers, but I'm pretty sure they would take a significant cap hit if they were to just cut him, and I can't see any team willing to take on his current contract (again, assuming he won't restructure...he might, for all I know).

If the Eagles were willing to work out a deal where the Cowboys paid 4-5 million a season and the Eagles picked up the rest, I might be interested in that sort of deal. Straight up trade and we pick up their stupidity (Chipperknowsbest), I would not be for that.

Exactly. I would not take Murray even if I didn't have to give up anything in return if it meant also taking on his current contract.

Mcfadden is much cheaper and just as competent, draft a running back which is also cheap is all Dallas needs, don't need a back who doesn't have break away speed and fumbles far too often and is two years older and a big contrct....He's Marion Barber, a one year wonder

Don't want any part of him...that ship has sailed.....
not even for the vet min?

What exactly would the Eagles be listening to? Crickets chirping? Nobody else is dumb enough to touch that contract. Choke on it!

Trading him will be difficult, but #Eagles will listen.
Yep. Listening is one thing, actually hearing something is quite another.

what Vet minimum, Eagles are cutting him this year, it's too much of a cap hit....

One thing I didn't realize until I read an article a couple of minutes ago is that even if Philly were to miraculously be able to trade him, they would take a $13M dead money cap hit this year. Murray isn't going anywhere this year. And, as you stated, Philly isn't going to cut him, so this "Vet Min" stuff is not even a possibility.
