Eagles open to trading Murray

My mistake, I was referring to the 1st half, In three games, they couldn't score more than six points in three of the four games Romo started. In 2014 they scored 6 or less in the 1st half a total of two times, one of them was opening day in San Fransisco.

Murray received that many carries because he was being productive. If a RB consistently carries the ball 5 yards most NFL coaches agree its a pretty good idea to keep doing it.

If, however, the RB averages 3 yards a carry, as McFadden did 7 of the first 11 games, you are then forced to look elsewhere for productivity. In addition, those results have probably contributed to a scoring defect, pretty much confirmed when you consider that, yes, Murray had 100 more runs, but quadrupled the TD's.

On two occasions last season, McFadden had 10 or more carries in game and averaged less than 2 yards a carry. How many times has Murray carried the ball ten or more times as a Cowboy and averaged less than 2 yards? Not once in the four years he was here. Not in teh three years before Martin was ever a Cowboy but , apparently, this offense can no longer function without the critical contributions from their Right Guard.

You wanted to cut Romo after 2014. Not enough salt in the world to balance that opinion.

They were "struggling" because the OL didn't play together during the preseason and Martin was obviously still injured.

In fact, the line of Smith, Martin, Frederick, Collins, and Free didn't play a full game until week 3. Once that lineup was set, Dallas' average rush ranked 2nd in the league.

Murray only led the league in rushing because he was given 100 more carries that year than anyone else. He might have led to one additional win but anyone saying we're making the playoffs because of a RB when we have one of the worst passing offenses in the league is smoking crack.

His contract is absolutely ridiculous and is setting a precedent for paying above average RB's like they're elite. The whole league is laughing at Philly.

And Murray isn't going to sacrifice a handful of millions to come to Dallas. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I'm pretty sure Dallas will decide to take their next RB through the draft and forego the excessive amount that the Eagles will ask in a trade. Rest assured they won't be inclined to cut him rather than force him to grind out another year with them. Their new coach may be inclined to make their offense more friendly for Murray to operate in rather than dumping him for little or nothing

And rest assured that if that particular drafted RB ends up being the leading rusher in the NFL four years later, he will not be resigned by the Cowboys, and be replaced by a low round draft pick that fizzles. Also expect the addition of a lesser free agent that takes three quarters of the season to become productive by which time the season is effectively over. Most likely, this will enable them to have signed some controversial free agent that, not only makes no effective contribution, but treats this opportunity with complete disrespect.

If Jerry Jones is anything, he is consistant.

The point of this conversation is that Murray could be traded. We are not talking in terms of the past, we are talking in terms of now. Again, i have stated that if the asking price was a 2017 6th or 7th round pick and he was willing to renegotiate down to 4.5 mil a year, why wouldn't we consider a backfield of Murray and McFadden?

I looked at this guy zeke, and he is too small, he gets big holes to run thru, and i dont think his success in college
will be the same in NFL.
The speed will taper off as he gains weight like they all do, and then he will be avg.
he may have good vision, know where to run, but that is hard to tell.

I would rather have a bigger stronger back,David Wilson who the cards got last year is the type we need.

I think Dallas FO is mainly thinking QB and Defense, and really like someone else said we need a good RB to pair with Mcf
and a good # 2 WR, and then just have a awesome offense, and get some FA Defensive guys for immediate impact.
