Signed by Cowboys C. Thornton signs with Cowboys

Costa started a single season after Gurode peed the bed. At least Costa had a couple of good games. Hayden played well 2 years ago against Seattle.

Proctor was worse. Pettite had a similar tenure and was worse. Lynn Scott and Killer were awful starters even if Killer played well on teams.

Not even close: Clay Shiver or Phil Pozderik

I guess i just don't oay attention to other teams.
I think Devin Street is the worst starter on this team. I am amazed how he still has a job in the NFL

I agree. I don't get why the front office refuses to just realize they made a mistake, and move on.

Devin Street isn't a starter. I'm talking about a guy you have penciled in in August as your starter for the season. I've seen nobody worse than Costa. It isn't even close. He had no business cashing a check in the league.

That kid that was drafted as a guard out of Wisconsin, didn't even start at Wisconsin he was a back up. He came here and started off as a starter at LG until he broke is ankle or something in the first couple of games. I can't recall his name. I remember his college coach was being interviewed while the draft was going on when his name was called. The look on the coach's face was priceless, he couldn't believe he was drafted. Now that kid was bad. He was a second stringer in college, but the Cowboys thought he was good enough to start in the NFL!

You want the litmus test for someone too negative? Let's see someone criticize this signing. Short of something you can't foresee like a bad injury, there is literally no chance this isn't an upgrade from week 1 and the money is manageable. He's 27 too. His best years are in this next contract.

He was a 7th round draft pick. He did lose out to Killer Kowalski. But then we drafted Fred and Martin and actually did think they were good enough to start.

It only took three years of mediocrity for that to sink in.

Almost as long as it took for us to decide that Phil Costa was horrible and we needed to do something at center.

How long are we stuck with Barry Church/Jeff Heath/J.J. Wilcox aka Warm Bodies playing Safety ?

I would hope FA acquisitions have no impact on the draft. We need to come away with two Dlinemen in the first 4 RDs.
Its this type of thinking that we always criticize. They should just follow and trust the board that they assemble, not target specific positions. Even more so now that they appear to be open to drafting a QB

Church and Carr are in danger of being cap casualties. The Cowboys won't even have enough to sign their draft class after this signing. If they don't sign anyone else, they could probably get enough space to keep them and only do one more restructure. If they sign even a few minor deals, something is almost definitely going to be done with one of those two players contracts.

I get that but this draft is loaded with Dline talent, its time to really transform our Dline like we did our Oline.how many drafts do you see a guy like Billings slide into the 2nd Rd?

2015 Stats

Nick Hayden, 48 Tackles, 0 sacks, 2 passes defensed (16 games)
Cedric Thornton, 33 Tackles, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed (13 games)

Not saying these stats mean much, however, I thought it was worth at least posting them.

Ahhh ok i get it now. I just meant Street shouldnt even be a number 6, thats all

That's exactly what I was thinking before, but there is supposed to be very good value picks at 1 Tech in the 4th round and later. If we got a 2nd/3rd round talent with our 4th round comp pick to go with Thornton and T. McClain, we could have three guys at 1T that are better than Hayden was last year.
