He was signed for depth what makes the organization look stupid is those who claim Claiborne had a good year and was a priority this offseason.

Frozen has something against Mo. Not sure what it is. I noticed it last season. It like borderline hate and trolling.

His dislike for Mo isn't close to his dislike for Terrence Williams. lol I don't like Mo either he's a good guy nothing personal but he's not a good player. He's been a huge disappointment. When you use the 6th overall pick to draft a player and trade up to get them with a second rounder and they don't pan out it's going to cause some dislike for that player.

He started 11 games and improved as the year went on. If he passes a physical then I don't know why people are so against this. His play ranged from average to good. He is being paid a little over twice the minimum. People need to let it go that Jerry and the front office traded up for him and that he didn't live up to expectations.

The work that he has put in to come back is remarkable. Electing to have extra preventive surgery and rehab and all that entails shows the type of commitment he has. I don't see why people root against him.

I understand the frustration with Mo. I didn't want him to begin with. Not because I didn't think he'd be good I just wanted to stand pat and keep our 2nd rounder. They felt pressured to address the secondary and they went and got Carr and Claiborne. Sounded like great moves at the time but not so much years later.

Though I don't care for him and didn't want him I do root for him and I do think he showed progress next season. We signed him to a one year deal. They haven't lost faith in him yet so that's some what encouraging.

I feel like once a players contract is off the books its time to start over with how you judge a guy. He's now a free agent and we re-signed him. You sort of know what you have with him and its not where his draft status was at.

Its like if we are to sign Chris Long. Do we judge Chris Long based on his 2nd overall status or on what he does for this team with what we sign him for?

Again, for the mentally impaired.

http://draftbreakdown.com/players/jalen-ramsey/

Quiet yourself, evaluate, understand. Then come back to me and see where he was supposed to get these INTs that you feel he should have. If you're not being targeted, you're not going to get INTs. He was a safety, he created 5 turnovers in 2014, 3 sacks, 10 tackles for a loss.

You know what IS important when it comes to corner? QB percentages when targeting a CB, amount of targets towards a CB. And I'm not your "bro".

Let's take a look at another prospects stats

http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/mackensie-alexander-1.html

0 INTs in 2 years. To you, this is terrible. To scouts, this is pretty spectacular since he was hardly ever targeted.

You going by raw statistics is simply lazy.

Right now, who projects to starting? Carr or Claiborne?

This is a ok stop-gap move for 2016. Let's face it, Mo is a stop-gap player at this point.

He is an average corner when healthy which automatically makes him the best non-slot CB on the team. The negatives:
  • He managed to play in 68% of the games last season which is great for Mo but terrible overall for a starting CB.
  • Zero play-making ability as evidenced by his 0 interceptions, 0 forced fumbles, and 0 fumble recoveries
  • He seems utterly confused on what to do on pick plays which are becoming increasingly common in the NFL. I suspect his 4 Wonderlic factors in that -- he just can't process what to do.
As I stated above, I see this is a stop-gap move. Obviously you can't replace everybody so this move had to be made, however, it doesn't inspire confidence.

This is correct but if your board is there and you have 5 guys rated higher but you settle for qb because you feel pressured to get one for the future? That's not smart drafting to me. Not with thst first pick.

If you are at 4 and you have 5 guys rated higher I still take the QB because that means you obviously rated a top ten player and you aren't going to get many chances at a top ten QB
The QB position is different to me, when you get a chance to take a guy you think can be a franchise QB I don't care if I take him 5 spots too high

We definitely need to draft a QB next month and I doubt many would disagree with that but we don't need to draft one with the 4th overall pick. If the one we draft doesn't work out there could be a better QB class in the next couple of years. It's important that we draft a player with our top pick who's going to help us 2016 or we could very well end up picking in the top 10 next year.

That is true if you think the guy you draft at 4 is going to be that huge a difference maker but I don't see a player there at 4 who is going to make any significant difference in where we pick next year by himself while a QB could make a huge difference in a couple years
If a Dware type pass rusher was there I might see it different

Like this move.

Mo really stepped up last year.

Dude just shut down Beckham Jr. in the opener.

But I think the lasting impression is Mike Evans taking him to task... which is unfair, because Mike Evans didn't do anything special except be much taller than Claiborne.

Does the name Julian Edelman ring a bell?

And not sure

And I'm not sure how much credit Mo should get for "shutting down" OBJ. Dude was effectively out of the game when Wilcox lit him up

That's true. OBJ was likely concussed after Wilcox freight trained him, but even before that, OBJ had nowhere to go on Mo for the most part.
