Me too. Lost six games by seven or fewer points with no QB and no legit WR (Dez wasn't Dez even when he played). The "real" Cowboys were the 2014 version, IMO.

Although it's a contested argument, we didn't have a real rushing attack IMHO. Do we draft the next Dorsett/E. Smith? This offense is begging for the return of a dynamic RB. RB-by-committee is fool's gold.

I want a legit QB to groom behind Romo, but a big part of me wants McClay and company to put real effort into a legit ground game. That was our staple in 2014, and all those championships in the 90's.

Zelda or Henry would be the elixir.

Drafting a QB is not about this season, it's about the future
Or we could just wait till tony retires and pay 20 mil a year for a backup quality QB or give up a whole draft to move up and get one who will likely still need time to develope

It kills me that some are still not getting this...

The Super Bowl champs are trading for Sanchez.

Is that not enough of a public service message?

Do you think the Cowboys should take Wentz or Goff if they're there at #4? I don't remember your stance lol.

Just because we draft a qb doesn't mean our qb situation is fixed lol. What if we waste a 4th overall pick on a guy who can't cut it? Then we get to enjoy a million posts about how Jerry, Stephen, Garrett and Mcclay failed for the next 5 offseasons.

Would rather have taken a chance on Nolan Carroll. We already know what Mo can do, or rather what he can't. Carroll is bigger and faster, should have offered him the one year "show me" deal or a 3 year low risk/incentive laden deal. Ready to move on from Mo.

You can miss on any player, not just qb's
What if we draft a CB or de and they don't work out
The only way to never miss on a draft pick is not draft snyone

I would. They won't because they only care about things in small spaces when it relates to the draft.

We definitely need to draft a QB next month and I doubt many would disagree with that but we don't need to draft one with the 4th overall pick. If the one we draft doesn't work out there could be a better QB class in the next couple of years. It's important that we draft a player with our top pick who's going to help us 2016 or we could very well end up picking in the top 10 next year.

This is correct but if your board is there and you have 5 guys rated higher but you settle for qb because you feel pressured to get one for the future? That's not smart drafting to me. Not with thst first pick.

I want to commend Claiborne for not even considering other teams and wanting to stay in Dallas. I'll just hope that is the case and not that none of the other 31 teams would even return his call.
