Browns trade Eagles #2 overall pick

Some things I've heard is that the coaches want him badly (including Marinelli) but management wants Bosa more. Lot of "Zeke to the Cowboys" talk today on ESPN including Bill Polian who said we should absolutely take him.

We shall see.

That is who I want. Stud RB and everyone knows it. Not sure how we can go wrong with that. It's not like we are going to fix our Dline right away anyway. Might as well have a dominant offense to keep us in games.

We are on deck for the next big trade down, but the QB overpay is out of the equation.

Someone please remember these threads when some of our most gifted fans wanted to trade two firsts two seconds and Who knows what else for either of these Qb's.

I am glad. Did not want these two qbs and Eagles just depleted their current and future drafts.

Giants did it one time and got Eli and have two rings to show for it, the skins did it also and have nothing so it can make you, it can break you. Gamble you take

thrilled that philly mortgaged their future for possibly, maybe, kinda-sorta a good QB that hasn't really shown anything just yet....I am equally grateful to the Rams for getting the ball rolling and then having philly get nervous and jump in...dallas in the driver's seat now...they can either have tunsil or ramsey or trade back a lil and grab up more picks...I have liked ramsey from the start, so that would make me happy...if they drafted anyone other than tonsil or ramsey @ 4, not sure if I would be happy...I have liked bosa a bunch (still do), but not more than the T&r train

More like they (the Giants) have two rings in spite of it.

Although I want him badly I completely understand why you feel like that. Can I ask if we moved out how would you feel at 8-10? We would have to stay ahead of the Giants because no way he gets by them.

IF we had to take him i'd naturally like to trade down and pick up assets. I would be happy about the additional 2nd rounder but am not a fan of a RB in round 1 unless they are of the Gurley/Peterson persuasion and I don't think Zeke is that guy.

"Mock experts" aren't scouts. Who have always had him higher.

Understood, it's why I put the quotation marks, but it gives you a general consensus. Just how scouts have not necessarily said Ramsey, Tunsil, Bosa are top 10 players, but all mocks have them up there so we can safely assume they're top 10 players in this draft.

For those interested- I'm located in an area densely populated with Eagles fans, and I've only heard negative reactions to this trade up.

it was no secret that the Eagles were trying to move up...obviously we didn't feel the need to get a franchise qb at this time. we could've moved up to #2 for far less than what the Eagles gave up.

Why would Cleveland take less?

You better hope Wentz doesn't pan out, or you will be swearing at the TV screen for years to come.

Not me. Donovan McNabb was a franchise QB, and they were still losers. Eagles fans booed McNabb; imagine the boos when Wentz is announced based on their reactions to the trade overall.

Good for you Cleveland, that was a nice fleecing and if RG3 turns out your on your way to building a nice franchise.
That would be remarkable to me if they drafted Paxton Lynch now at 8

on 94WIP its 80-90% negative. I would like to know who made the trade. If its Pederson he has way to much power for a guy that hasnt won a game yet. As much as I hate Jerry's meddling I think he would have stepped in and blocked this trade.

because they would only drop 2 spots rather than 6? you seem to keep forgetting that

Why would Cleveland give up a deal with multi 1st, multi 2nd, multi 3rd and 4th round picks for maybe a 2nd or 3rd? They want picks to fill holes you still haven't answer my question

So you know it takes a while to fix a Dline and that leads you to draft a rb?

Instead of... You know adding a premium piece to the line?

I'm not a huge fan of Bosa but i'd take him over Zeke in a heartbeat.
