The Patriots were going to draft Jaylon in the 2nd

I'd love to hear the argument that any team can "afford" to throw a pick away.

I would think his 4 Super Bowls would be a start. He also still has Brady and still plays in a crummy division. And he has had good drafts, particularly at the 2nd round.

Well....... Then he traded down to pick him

Huh?

The Patriots supposedly were targeting Smith with one of their two 2nd round picks. Once he was off the board they decided to trade down with one of those picks.

The hell do they know about championships? They only have four rings.

I don't think you understand. NE had multiple 2nd round picks. They wanted to select Smith with one of those picks. Once Dallas took him at #34 NE didn't see the "value" in any of the remaining players so they traded the pick. NE would actually have moved up for Smith if he there in the late 40s but he was long gone by then.

so now New England would have moved up to take him? didn't see that anywhere

I like how people cry about everything regardless of what happens.

Seriously. People were preparing themselves to cry about trading up for Ogbah and when that fell through cried about Smith.
