Cowboys’ team doctor is confident in Jaylon Smith’s knee

Yeah it was followed about his whine about Jack getting picked the next pick. AFAIK there was another pick before Jack but whatevs.

What was he basing this prognosis on? Never again? That seems farfetched.

Again, I'm relaying information that has already be disseminated to the public. IMO, he isn't playing this year... it hasn't changed. You are shooting the messenger.

You've kinda changed your tune mrtxstar over the course of the last 8 hours from ,'he isn't playing this year from this;

"Because Smith will never play again and the doctor isn't letting that cat out of the bag."

which is it mrtxstar /

Listen to what? I've read the articles and come away with a different take. As I pointed out the nerve didn't wait until the draft to start regening.

You don't even argue points or on merit. Can we get some more megalomania?

How do you know it's the same information if you won't listen for yourself? That would explain your "different take" but it would be inconvenient to your counter argument.

You can't fix stupid. Good day, sir!

Actually you can fix stupid. It's called getting an education. We are both here reading and writing so you don't really have a point. You just seem to want to be argumentative for the argument. Insulting because you can't tolerate the possibility that I'm right. Not a mature way of going about your business but... whatever.

No, my opinion has remained the same. The information that I have relayed from the media is, "he isn't playing this year" but you can still firmly mark me down in the "he isn't ever playing" category. But it's still just my opinion, not fact so please don't misconstrue it as such.

I doubt we will hear anything negative. I don't have an agenda here. The only thing I have stated is that he can't lift his foot, despite being able to press 700 lbs or squat 500. Posting a picture of him planking like @Hostile did doesn't really go a long way towards telling us where he is at. He seems to be recovering nicely, but until the nerve is fully firing and he is able to lift his foot, I won't get too excited.

The videos he posted wearing an AFO are merely propaganda pieces. There are some team doctors that looked at him and decided he wasn't worth drafting at all. Obviously, Dr. Cooper has more information and a better idea of what is going on, but they certainly have more information and knowledge than you on this subject. The fact that they don't share the same optimism should be at least a little concerning.
The "planking" showed no brace on his leg. Perhaps he crawled there, I do not know; but I kind of doubt it. The video in the previous tweet was him stating on February 24th that he was walking without the brace. I can't walk without picking my foot up, but he is clearly more gifted than I am. The other video of him running and stepping up on a stool which is clearly picking his foot up, doesn't seem to show a brace. Granted it may be hidden by the socks, but it seems weird to me to put a brace under socks, and that would have to be one seriously thin brace not to be noticeable with just socks covering it.

I've said my piece. You can have the last word. I wouldn't have posted if I didn't think this conversation was hilariously misguided. <--Not aimed at you. You were civil and I appreciate it.

I did listen. You're misrepresenting what was said.

I'm going to quit toying with you

Your exact quote from page 1....

"I don't care if you believe me. I told you the truth, believing it is up to you. It doesn't change the outcome one way or the other. Smith will never play again."

Did he hear that from his liquor store guy?

You also said drop foot is 100% permanent.

The truth is that nobody really knows one way or the other, except him. He knows for sure that Smith will never play. I am impressed by his vast knowledge.

I'm still right.

It's kinda sad that you'd rather be right than for this kid to make a full recovery which his doc is confident he will. How is it "covering for himself"? If anything he will be held to his confidence in the recovery if he ends up being wrong. It can only hurt his reputation taking the confidence route.

That's not my priority here. I'd much rather be wrong.

All drama set aside, I'm really thankful for the level of medical skills around the team. Jerry has judiciously provided both a top notch facility to conduct everything medically relevant to the team. Then he put together a top team of physicians and support for sports type injuries. Lake Landry is not a gimmick.

You certainly can walk with foot drop.
