Won't ever happen, so I don't concern my self over the thought of it.
Not in my lifetime anyway.

If it ever did happen, the game will be so unrecognized and world wide, no one will care anymore. It will be Flag football by then.

i left dallas (reluctantly) but remain a cowboys fan wherever i go. i don't feel the same way about following them to another place. they are a tie to that place and a symbol of it.

IMHO, when a francise leaves its original market, it should change its name. the browns didn't move to baltimore, the ravens did. the oilers became the titans. the cardinals and rams should have had to change their names when they moved.

Considering I live in the mid Atlantic/ NE region of the states I would keep following them.
Even though I'm not a Dallas resident it would still be very strange if the boys ever moved from Texas.

yea, I live in the DC metro area, so it wouldn't have a huge effect on me. I'd feel for you local guys, that's about it.

If the team left Dallas, got a new name and the NFL had a new expansion team in Dallas named the Cowboys, like they did with Cleveland, I would be a fan of the new team. Otherwise I would travel with the old team.

I doubt that I would follow the one team. I would hope for the expansion. If no expansion, I would have to pull for Atlanta, even if New Orleans is closer to my home. I would find a team as long as they were from the South. I don't pull for any college or pro teams that is not located in the South.

My Dad was a Baltimore Colts fan and when they moved he stopped following them. He now roots for the Ravens. I'm a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

It would be pretty cool. Stephen and his family could take the cowboys to like Little Rock or the Arkansas side of texarkana.....hell maybe even arkadelphia....

The Arkadelphia fighting Jones's. Has a ring to it.

Then, a year later we could get the cowboys back. We could follow the packers structure and have it be owned by the fans.

then we could hire a real smart group to run the front office, bunch of football guys.

then demolish that monstrosity in arlington and go back to a renovated cotton bowl. Outside in the elements, no roof, fantastic.

Stick the Landry statue out front and everything would be great.

There has to be a better option than rooting for Atlanta.

with the Rams, Chargers, and Raiders all on the move, What if the Cowboys were one of the teams that moved out west, would you still remain a true fan? I know this might not ever happen. But...what say you?

You know this MIGHT not happen?

Dude...seriously are the Yankees leaving New York?

Are the Lakers and Celtics leaving LA and Boston?

Are the Canadiens leaving Montreal?

Is Jimmy leaving the Keys?

C'mon now.

I agree with this, only i doubt the Jones boys would leave the name behind.

Whole lot of us adopted the Cowboys without ever having lived anywhere near Dallas most of our lives.

I've never lived in the Dallas area. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. My father was from Texas, and he raised me a Cowboys fan. He didn't care about other sports and that's why I became an Oakland A's and Lakers fan. I loved the local A's, and I became a Lakers fan to spite all who I grew up with that loved the Warriors. During the 80's I got turned on to hockey, and liked the Pittsburgh Penguins because of Mario Lemieux. San Jose then got the Sharks and they have been my team ever since.

Point being I live in Texas now, and love having all the Cowboys games available to me. I could have grew up a Raider fan like my mom, but Papa raised me better than that and got my heart set on the Cowboys.

It'll never happen, which is one of the many points of pride I have in my fandom of this team......but hypothetically, IF the team did leave,........Im a Cowboys fan because I was raised in DFW.......I root for the DALLAS Cowboys, not the Las Vegas Cowboys, or wherever......if they moved to San Antonio Id still be a supporter cause of the TX connection, but it wouldnt be the same, not even close...........Oh and BTW, (Again it aint never gonna happen) but IF it does, I would seriously murder the person that took the Boys outta DFW and/or Texas.......And so I guess in this hypothetical, After murdering the traitor culprit who took our team away from DFW, being in Prison, I would cease to care about the NFL.......Only Hook Em Horns! til my meeting with the Executioner.....
