Mothership Monday Practice Notes

It's very annoying. I expect it from eagles fans but you would hope our own would be more reasonable
No fans are really more or less reasonable then others. We rip on other fanbases, but we really much different

I don't think that's true at all. Won/loss records, history, expectation, relevance, media slant, media motivations, message board culture all play a roll in how fanbases behave. PIT fans are very different from WAS or GB or DAL fans across the board.

You're in the Zone bro; where opinions and speculation are stated as fact...until they turn out to be incorrect (at which point they are forgotten about and never spoken of). BUT, when they happen to right, you better believe you'll be hearing about it.

It's a pretty easy, self serving way to be.

You mean like when Houston Nutt was coming to Dallas two offseasons ago and Jerry was an idiot because of it and only a raging homer would defend the team to the contrary? You mean that kind of certainty about blind-*** speculation that turned out to be completely wrong and was never mentioned again?

Never heard of it.

Every fan base has it quirks, and there are always leans and slants based the team, players and other factors. But every fanbase seems to have the same or similar sects within their fanbase. Overly negative, overly optimistic, agenda pushers, followers, free thinkers as well your 365 draft nuts, FF nuts, film nuts. All societies really, with everyone filling a role. Even if your not one of the above, your still playing part.

To me comparing fanbases is like comparing western societies. Different but sometimes similar culture. But the roles played are effectively the same

That's true. The same groups are represented everywhere, though the proportions are different.

I love what I am hearing about Alfred Morris...and thanks for the post, darthseinfeld.

After Zeke, Morris is the player I am most excited about. Could be one heck of a backfield combo that we are about to unleash.
