Part of the problem, is there simply is no awareness when it comes to linemen blocking at the second level. They routinely attempt to block guys that are too far away and allow a blitzing LB to go free.

Run stretch plays. They're effective this year. Don't throw to players when the coverage is tight. They will drop the ball if they get hit.

stretch plays are pretty good, but it pisses me off when I want to cut inside and Zack Martin runs past a LB to try and block the safety who is 5 yards away...

Take your finger off the turbo button. Read blocks, and dont' be afraid to cut back if you see a gap.

Pay attention to the highlighted red/green boxes when you zoom out to see the field. If it's red in the direction you want to run - flip the run direction, motion a TE or audible out altogether.

Try to run quick toss plays w/a FB;use Morris as speed to the block is more important than strength in the run game and good for FB dives. Single Back 4 WR HB dive can usually get you and easy 4-5 yards by reading the center post snap and tap (no speed burst) the stick to the opposite side and then look for your hole and press speed burst or hold LT to perform stiff arms, jukes, spins, and trucks. Also, quick pitches work great in bunch formations and let your OL point out signals pre snap (you'll see them do it if ya run down the play clock).

Are you holding Y (triangle on PS4) immediately after your pass is thrown? That is the aggressive catch and be sure to hold it all the way through the catch; some pop out even when it looks secured. You can also adjust your receivers position while holding Y; so if the DB has the inside on your receiver and you run a go route with Dez, you can move him in front of the DB for a better chance at a catch or at the least deflecting a would be pick.

On pass protection, be sure to use RB/FB drifts to the sideline or crossing routes to get separation for your receivers and hold either aggressive catch or the catch n run button X on Xbox and square on PS. You can get a lot of RAC yards by subbing Dez into these crossing routes too.

I would just up Dak's CAR rate (edit) and it shouldn't affect his overall all that much under your active roster category.

When you wait too long, the arc disappears and can mess with you; I've missed plenty too. I realized just block out the arc and don't touch the stick to direct but instead kick it at full strength (the short distance generally compensates for any minor adjustments to the arc bf it disappears).

They added quite a few new stuff, really liking the edit option.....now I don't have to buy the new version for a roster update.

I'm still playing Witcher 3 most of the time, Madden is probably a weekend game for me if you wanna play
 
And PS Network is down again...and they wanna raise the price. Smh

My favorite is when I have 2 guys blocking one LB and they both take off down field leaving the LB a free shot at my running back. Whey they gotta do Zeke like that. :)

It's been 4 years since I bought Madden, disappointing that you still can't use a custom playbook in franchise mode.
 
Anybody else's roster not updating? No Sanchez and some our design and lbs are on the ps squad?
 
I won the sb in my franchise using who we have with dak as the starter until week 8.

I added a ton of good players now this next season I'm already 1-3 lol damn

I added junior gallete, jj watt, jaylon smith, dware, and a good corner. Plus more Lol

I'm 1-3 and the Eagles are 4-0 I have to catch them.
 
This is the first Madden I have played in 12 years.

The franchise mode has gotten huge – but it is completely idiotic. I can’t sort players by combine results? Dumb!
 
In the draft, I used my scouting to tell me a guy is considered a middle 1st round player. I drafted him at the 32 pick. “bad move. You selected him too early”

Dumb!

You have to factor in combine results as well. Your first clue should have been noticing the player sliding from mid round projection to nearly out of the first round. So, it's most likely that that player has high upside but won't come out immediately with a high rating.

Luckily in this Madden, the ratings are set in stone. A player with a "normal" progression can move to a "superstar" projection depending on production.
 
Anybody else notice this. Playing franchise when you finish this season romo is gone!?!?!??!!
