Dak vs Wentz comparison thread **merged**

Tonight we get to watch Carson Wentz play against the Bears.

Next week we get to watch Dak play on SNF vs the Bears.

The media hasn't recognized it yet so I will help do their job for them.


Both Rookie QB's will get the Bears on primetime so naturally everyone is going to start comparing the 2.


As most of you know I had Wentz as far and away the best QB in the draft so im excited for these comparisons to begin.

He had an outstanding week one performance...give credit where it's due and get over it

I'm sure there will be and I know there is more pressure on a young QB who was selected 2nd overall vs a 4th rd pick

Right now much like it was for Seahawks and Wilson, Dallas has found a very good QB mid rd who comes at a cheap price over the next 4 years

Wentz as a 2nd overall pick is making 6.6 mill a year and Philly had to give up picks to move up to get him

Does not bother me, Frankly once the draft if over I focus on the Cowboys players. I'm very happy with Prescott up to this point and feel he will continue to improve.

This is kind of similar to the Cowboys response, I think it was Stephen when asked about drafting a player so another team doesn't get him. Or something like that.

Stephen said, they do not concern themselves with that. They only look at what they can do to help the Cowboys as a team, and don't concern themselves what other teams do at the time.
I think this question was more about Drafting Zeke to keep him from getting to the Giants, or the Eagles if they had not traded up.

Right.
Wentz did what he was supposed to do. He played very well. I seen he had some inaccurate throws. But he is a rookie, that happens. He also had some very good, accurate throws that were dropped.
Yes they played the Browns. Yes the Browns had RG 3 at QB.
All of that is not Wentz's fault. Yes give him credit.

Dak played a very improved NY defense and hung in there. Giants also played our defense....lol....

So Carson and Dak held up well on their NFL debuts and home games.
Dak performed great on his first road test against long time division rival.
So now we can see Wentz on his first road game, though not a division opponent, but still on the road.
I am not sure how Chicago's D is, but based on reutation of the past, they could play at a higher level tonight. But that is just a guess. And should not be used as an excuse one way or the other.
It's a good road tease regardless.

After all that, I hope Wentz sucks....LOL.

We'll see.. From a talent standpoint there is not many that compare to Wentz. He's got every tool in the box.

I know a lot of you tried to convince yourselves that playing at NDSU was a bigger factor than talent so lets hope somehow you're right.

2. He has gotten a bone broken in 2 out of last 4 games.
3. He got locked in a NJ gas station bathroom and had to get assistance getting free.
4. He looked shaky in his only preseason quarter.
5. He's a filthy Eagles player.

lol good enough reason for me.


I had him as the best QB in the draft when he was still projected to go 2nd or 3rd round so we'll see.

I just don't think that kind of talent mixed with him being a hard worker has much bust potential.
