I'm sure there will be and I know there is more pressure on a young QB who was selected 2nd overall vs a 4th rd pick

Right now much like it was for Seahawks and Wilson, Dallas has found a very good QB mid rd who comes at a cheap price over the next 4 years

Wentz as a 2nd overall pick is making 6.6 mill a year and Philly had to give up picks to move up to get him

Also, while Wilson has been good, he also landed on a Seattle team that was loaded and poised to make some big runs. That defense was all-world for a couple of years.

Tonight we get to watch Carson Wentz play against the Bears.

Next week we get to watch Dak play on SNF vs the Bears.

The media hasn't recognized it yet so I will help do their job for them.

Both Rookie QB's will get the Bears on primetime so naturally everyone is going to start comparing the 2.

As most of you know I had Wentz as far and away the best QB in the draft so im excited for these comparisons to begin.
Dak round 4 Wentz round 1.
Nuff said.

Here is a question.
Would you trade Dak for Wentz straight up today?
Not tomorrow. You need to chose today.

Who do you have?

let me ask in the process do we give up extra picks because that is what Philly did to get him and Dallas would have had to give up picks as well to move up to the #2 spot.

The fact that we are having this conversation, based on what we gave up for Dak and what the Eagles gave up for Wentz is a clear win for us. That said, Wentz is a stud. We need to keep in mind that Dak started for 3.5 years at an SEC school, while Wentz started for 2.5 at North Dakota State.

But they did some trades and got some picks back.

I'm not saying they did not have other trade but fact remains they had to give up picks in the upcoming drafts as well to get him. Dallas got Dak who is performing very well we had to give up nothing. Dallas is paying Dak 680 thousand a year for the next 4 years Wentz is an avg of 6.6 mill. Just as getting a low price QB in Russell Wilson was big for Seahawks I think watching Dak develop at a low cost at the highest paid position in the NFL is hugh

Judging by last night's performance by Bradford there needs to be a Bradford-Wentz comparison too,,, he killed it without a running game and poor protection.

And with a week to learn the offense.

I'm sticking with Dak, especially considering what Philly gave up to get him. We're not only getting Dak, we're getting Ezekiel Elliott, whoever we draft first next year and another guy with that pick. We would have to have given up a haul to compete with that Philly deal. Dak also comes much cheaper right now, which gave us a lot of maneuverability if Dak didn't pan out. You can draft another QB without creating a controversy if your QB is drafted in round 4 and is getting paid under a million a year. Not so much if you gave up a haul.

Even if we remove the picks and all of that from the equation, I'm sticking with Dak.

I wanna say that he's played in this offense before but I may be wrong..

Still what he did was impressive and Stefon Diggs looks like the next Antonio Brown.

He had the Pat Shurmur connection, which was big, for sure. Pat was his OC i think with both the Rams and in PHI.

Dak is the better value for sure but QB is 1 of the positions where i'm more concerned about the player than the value.

So value aside it's looking pretty even right now.

I think what could separate the 2 early on is one QB not making mistakes but also being a real NFL playmaker at the same time.

Phenomenal point, and that discount that the Seahawks got Russ on was the main reason they were so dominant for those 2-3 years. They have fallen of quite a bit since then not being able to pay their players.

The next 10 years will be a Prescott-Wentz comparison.

This will be an incredible rivalry a few years from now.

We've already made the giant investment in a QB & WR so it's not that big of a deal. Our money is still wrapped up in those 2 guys.

It's not like we can go spend the money elsewhere because we saved money on QB.

As long as Philly loses, I'm happy

This year.. I'm not worried about Philly.. I think they stick around until about week 10 but they will drop out of the race around then and finish firmly in 3rd.

Right now I got the NFC East going

1. Giants

2. Cowboys

3. Eagles

4. Commanders

IF we are in striking distance of NYG when Romo returns we are taking this division.

We'll see.. From a talent standpoint there is not many that compare to Wentz. He's got every tool in the box.

I know a lot of you tried to convince yourselves that playing at NDSU was a bigger factor than talent so lets hope somehow you're right.
........and meanwhile NDSU goes on the road as a FCS level team and hits Power 5 13 ranked Iowa in the mouth ..............holding them to 34 yards rushing and running the ball for 240..........They beat Iowa at their own game of possession and power running ...........

Easton Stick is 11-0 as a starter.................maybe it is a culture at NDSU. Was worth the 10 hour drive............after the Game NDSU Band even played Iowa's win song------In Heavan There is No Beer".................LOL
