Are you talking about the Romo of years past or are you talking about the guy that struggled last year because Dak has that guy beat hands down

Did you watch the games last year or just conveniently forget?

As I said. Crackpipe down, please.

Dak is playing incredibly, but with a similar running attack in 2014 Romo generated 3.5 more points per game. It's also worth noting that 5 weeks in we have 1 win against a winning team and two wins against 1-4 teams.

When Romo is fully healthy he will be back in. If he gets hurt again then Dak is ready, and even better we don't have to think about drafting a QB for another 10 years. That's pretty amazing.

After 2017 Romo may well be gone. I would love for him to win a Super Bowl, but if we don't think of the money we can spend on defense for 2 years without a huge QB salary. That could be our best window since the 90's.
The Cowboys weren't beating a murderous row of opponents in 2014. Cowboys averaged 27 in the first 5 games of 2014.
jags
rams
bears
titans
saints

They basically beat 3 good teams in 2014: Eagles, Seattle and Detroit(playoffs). Everybody else was solid(Houston) to horrible.

lol

panties = in a wad.

How would any of you know who is a better fit right now? Because we are 4-1? With Romo we very well could be 5-0. I promise you. Without the running game, Dak would be roadkill.

Do you ever think the Pats would say they have a better fit for a QB than Brady?

Please, get off the crackpipe.

You say how would anyone know who is better right now and than you follow it up with the team would be 5-0 with Romo "I promise". Ok Nostradamus.

Was Dez playing in 2014?

Well he threw seven picks last year and I don't think it was all in one game but I'll have to check the facts on that

But it's more than that it's on all the 3rd and 8 when Romo throws a 5-yard pass the receiver gets tackled immediately and it's Fourth Down how it goes down as a completion in the stat book so it looks great on paper but that's not what you're getting from Dak capiche
Yeah he threw 2 picks each in the Giants and Miami game.

Why do you all think people have it personally out to get Romo?
Romo is a better quarterback for the Cowboys. But that doesn't mean he's the better fit now.
Right now, Dak gives us an element that Romo doesn't, namely the threat of a run.
Did you see the 60-yard run by Zeke? That was possible because of Dak as well as the offensive line.
Romo will restore the deep throw to this offense and is more savvy. But we haven't needed that yet.

Stop being so sensitive because some fans believe Dak should continue playing if we continue winning.

And the league has a book on Romo too. Hit him. Chase him out of the pocket. And drive him to the ground.

Yes, he is. Physically, however, he is not. That's the part that concerns us all.
At some
Agree 100%. This place is amazing man. The better Dak plays, the more "romo stans" get upset and call for romo. Can't make this stuff up.
They will be so happy if Dak loses against Greenbay this weekend. But they should ask themselves, how many times has a Romo lead team defeated a Aaron Rodgers lead Greenbay team? none that I can remember.

How would anyone know what Tony would have done if he were playing, Dak is 4-1 except it. But just in case you are Nostradamus, can I get the lottery numbers?

Correct and we won the Giants game because their offensive coordinator was an idiot who passed the ball when he could have run out the clock in the Miami game was well Miami the worst team in the NFL

He might be gone after this season if he comes back and gets hurt again.

But you are right about using his salary to re-sign some of our own guys and get a couple of key FA's.

So we keep Dak in there until he throws a pick, cool...lol
Huh no. What are you talking about. I'm responding to the post about how many picks Romo threw against the Giants and Miami.:facepalm:

I don't care who the qb is as long as we are winning. I must have missed something cause I have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe you responded to the wrong poster. Yeah that's gotta be it:dance:

Why do people assume everything will be such an easy transition if Dak sits for 2 years? This team will lose a lot of players in 2 years and guys will be 2 years older. If Romo can be cut at the end of this year without cap ramifications you do it.

Romo was 2-0 before his injury in 2015 and then went 3-0 in his first game back.

YES he was just as good as 2014. He just didn't have a good RB to take the pressure off OR TO BLOCK RUSHERS.

Think about what you just said and ask yourself what Romo did for you to even bring that up. The last time Romo was healthy all season, the Cowboys were 12-4 and Romo lead the entire league in QBR rating by over a full 5 points. (Aaron Rodgers in 2nd place at 77.4 to Romo in 1st at 82.62)

I think it's more likely that you're overthinking the situation because the emotion of what's happening on the field is blurring your logic. The league is still learning who Dak is. Don't even think for a second that his tough times aren't coming, because they are. They do for all young QBs.

Mentally Romo is one of the best QBs in the league. To push him aside because of a rookie after 5 after is nuts.
That was 2 years ago ! lol why not go back to 2007?
Romo is not the same guy from 2014 right now, he needs to get in better shape after he heals up proper, and then would need to play
a few games, to ,MAYBE get back to where he was in 2014.

Romo was not good in 2015 at all, the first 2 games he managed 2 fg's in the first half of first 2 games.
In 2nd H of giants game they did score 21, but they had to do that to win after the lousy 1st half.
The miami game he was avg, and took way too many hits, and then the carolina game he was awful .
It wasnt his injury, that is on the non passing arm, it was he hadnt played enough and threw 3 ints, 2 pick six's.

I also think Dak is a better leader, and will get the other players to prepare better, and play harder.

Tony isnt finished and is still one of the better qb,s and I dont think he is that fragile.
But I think he needs to reinvent himself to fit his age and physical condition.
By that I mean like he has to learn to throw ball away, and pass quicker, to avoid taking so many hits.
Also he really needs to learn how to slide and just go down better, he is awful at doing either.

And he could really learn some things watching dak, that would help him, but I dont think he is doing that.

I could also say he didnt go down properly, every qb might have to face a free rusher.
Tony is awful in going down and sliding.
The other thing is maybe he should have just thrown the ball away or into the ground, better a penalty than being sacked like that.
And that doesnt explain 3 ints in first half.

Tony isnt a robot he cant just suit up , go out on the field and be just like he was 2 years ago.
