Lets not forget what Dez can do

By saying lets not forget what he can do, do you mean trash a politician's house and refuse to pay to repair the damage he and his gold digger (so-called) friends did?

Yes.

That's what he meant. Clearly.

Tabloid fodder > football any day.

There were more than one catch from Cassell and Moore in that video.

There's a few plays from last season but most were from years ago. We were 2-6 in the games he played after the injury. We're 2-1 with him this season and 3-0 without him and our 2 most impressive wins were without him. Dak tossed a season high 3 TD's against Green Bay without Dez on the field.

Dez is overrated and anyone can come up with a highlight reel. He is good, but not great and is injury prone. He better play his heart out the rest of the year or I would trade his arse.

Skip?

Other teams are thankful when they have success without their best players and are excited to have them back and hopefully reach new heights.

Our stupid fans say "oh we had success without them who needs em" when our best players are about to return.

This is embarrassing behavior.

uhhh did you just "next" me after confirming my point? Thanks Bruh. I thought you were an idiot initially but I'm glad to see we're on the same page

The point you attempted to make and failed miserably is that Julio Jones is a more apt comparison than Hakeem Nicks because you feel Dez is closer in ability to Julio than Hakeem Nicks and that Julio bounced back just fine from his injury. No one said Dez isn't better than Hakeem Nicks was but Nicks was a very good receiver whose game declined dramatically after his foot injury.

Dez's recovery from his foot injury has been far more comparable to Hakeem Nicks than Julio because Dez hasn't proven he's recovered from that injury and Julio proved without question he recovered by bouncing back the very next season with a career year of 104 catches for 1593 yards. Dez may be better than Hakeem Nicks was but even at Dez's best he's not the receiver Julio Jones is.

In 2015 Julio caught 136 passes for 1871 yards. Julio is in the midst of his 3rd great season in a row since his foot injury, while Dez is leaving plenty of doubt whether he's fully back from his foot injury with him being on pace for another down season.

So, what do you think Dez does this Sunday?

I have no clue why I liked this, I must've been in rabid-like-mode, but I took it back...

You can't be serious, Sam!? Really, bro?

Me too, Dave! Eyes bulging! Lots of absolutes in @Sam I Am's post. Sam, love ya bro, but why the Dez hate, dude?

Like seriously, he's our best receiver. It's not even close. He's a leader. And those statements you stated in your post I quoted haven't been fully brought to the public, so we don't have the full story. That dude that owned the house, is corrupt as ****. Cmon man...

The one game we lost this year , the idiot coaches had him run 1000 go routes. That may have something to do with the loss. After that game, he's been used differently. The coaches finally figured out that he just may be more valuable as a primary target than as just a decoy.

Why not speculate on his upcoming start?

If I was going to speculate I could see Dez catching 6-7 passes for 75-89 yards but unless Dak is willing to give him a few chances down the field with jump balls it's hard to see Dez having a huge game. He has trouble running away from defenders so he needs to make a play down the field to pad his yards. Dak is being careful with the ball, he protects it he's not a gunslinger like Romo. Dez's best chance of having big, productive games would be with Romo because he's built chemistry with him over a period of years and Romo trusts him and takes a lot of chances down the field to him.

He trusted him enough to throw him a 50/50 jump ball in a playoff game with just over 4 minutes to play on a 4th and 2. Dak will throw one up to him we've seen it but he's going to throw to the open receivers most of the time. Dak knows if he's going to keep his job he has to protect the football and throw to the open receivers. He's still learning how to be an NFL QB so he's not going to be taking a lot of shots down the field just to please those who want to see him go deep more often. The system we have in place with him is working and we need to stick with the same formula.

Now there is a fair take, KJJ. Good job, bubba.

I'm not one of those who wants to be without Dez but I don't want a situation where we're forcing balls to him to make him and Jerry happy. This is how we ran into trouble with TO. One of the arguments Jerry made for getting rid of TO was he wanted Romo to spread the ball around more and avoid forced throws. It worked and we had a solid season in 09. Unless Dez can learn to run more than one or two routes and get open I don't see him ever being as productive with Dak as he was with Romo.
