TMZ is the worst thing that could happen to sports and entertainment industry. Anytime one of them steps out, we have to see and hear about it.

If an incident happened, then ok. But nothing happened at all. Nothing illegal going on. They weren't breaking any team rules either. What is the issue here? I chuckle at people don't realize these players are human beings. They go out in public and do things we do. They eat out at restaurants, they like to party, etc. People get videos of these guys doing normal activities and then TMZ actually buys this footage and posts it as a story.

we know its not a big deal except they are Dallas cowboys players. everyone misunderstanding and saying its no big deal are being willfully ignorant.

If it was 2012 and this video had Robert Griffen and Alfred Morris doing this exact thing people would be flipping out and saying he doesnt get it or whatever.

Its just a bad look and it will bring all kinds of nonsense to this team now. Now the media has something on Dallas which is something they have not had all year, they have been waiting and waiting for jerry to do something to exploit and now they have this. Its a distraction.

Has there been the obligatory get off my lawn post?

There's usually one who has a problem with professional athletes having lives away from the field.

Complete non issue. If anything i am surprised something like this just happened... 12 weeks into the season.

I did a lot worst in clubs at their age. So who am I to talk? Wouldn't be surprise if they got paid to attend club that night.

Yes but you are not a public figure. I agree I did much worse but when you are a public figure you attract a lot of people and some of those people do not care if they drag you down.

No you are just falling into this TMZ era mindset that tells you this is a big deal. Are you seriously this oblivious to the fact that athletes go out to clubs? Dirk and Steve Nash went out all the time and drank and smoked around Dallas. Did it hurt the team or their image. Absolutely not. Why? Because they did nothing illegal. They performed on the court. They are allowed to have personal lives.

Did it hurt the 90s Cowboys and all of what they did off the field? No.

Quit over exaggerating. It's only a distraction because people like you eat this up and interject with you saying it is and make this a big deal.

I agree. As I just mention many here will say they did this or worse when they were that age, that is all well and good but they are not public figures whom the media will look at and who tend to draw these groupies who want to party with them and when they create the problem it is the player who ends up catching hell. League office does not care about the no name guy they are only looking at the player. We see these woman who will throw themselves at these players and then turn around and make accusations and the player now must defend himself.

I don't care if the guys go out and have a good time but man they have to be extra careful because it is nothing like me or you going out on the town.

There's nothing wrong with the video. Neither player tried to grab back any of the money a la Adam Jones. No nudity. No visible aggression. No lewd behavior. Heck, the music didn't even sound like it needed an explicit lyrics disclaimer. Personally, I had more of an issue with the linked video saying Ciara & Russell Wilson Are Pregnant. Couples expect new additions to their family. Women have babies. Wilson can be as pregnant as he wants in Junior 2. Ciara's doing the real work.

why do people keep referencing cabo? Witten, romo and carpenter took their girlfriends(wives) for an overnight to relax, the friday night after practice and returned to the facility on sunday to get back to prep for the game the following sunday. Wade phillips told every player to get away for the weekend and come back refreshed monday. Marcus spears went fishing, terrance newman went to kansas to visit family. etc..

they had a bye week and went fri night to sunday morning. They weren't with hookers and drugs or whatever.

This is nothing like cabo and cabo had zero affect on the loss to NY.

This is the monday night of the biggest game of the week and not for nothing but the qb already has a dui and the running back is skating on thin ice after this summer. Two totally different situations.

If people are going to praise dak for throwing a gatorade cup in the garbage then it seems pretty fair if they are disappointed he is doing this while already having a DUI the week of the biggest game.

You think they weren't drinking alcohol in Cabo? You don't go to mexico on a 'mini' vacation a week before the biggest playoff game of your life, especially when you're the starting QB. ESPECIALLY after fumbling the go ahead field goal in the wildcard @ Seattle the year before.

This is child play compared to that controversy. Any early 20's male would be insane NOT to go out and enjoy the fruits of your labor once in awhile. I said this would only be an issue during the playoffs. That's my story and i'm sticking too it.

I think as far as perception and stuff that has no meaning on the field of play, I do think you have a point.
Would I prefer they party away from the cameras, probably yes.
But really, who's to say 20 other teams members were partying at their house until they passed out that very same night.
Going out doesn't automatically mean you're drinking more. Sometimes the opposite is true due to acountablilty--whether it be driving or knowing you might be seen.
But perception and the superfical are so huge in today's society, you have a point.

Was this night of the team party..and pre-party and Romo's house? Can't recall.

Like that Super win for Dallas this year, come on #6 :starspin::starspin::starspin::starspin::starspin::starspin:

They are all about preparation. Maybe they are just getting some practice in for that. Dak in particular looked like he needed to work on his champagne skills.

But seriously, hold off on the celebrations for now. The goals are much higher at this point.

Given the current playoff push for team, & the public spotlight of the team, different points can be presented:

1. Big deal for the specific players and the positions they play (especially, the QB) on the team.
2. No big deal.
3. "Rookies" need to unwind/celebrate.
4. Unnecessary outside public scrutiny can create excuses for present & future poor performances (in this current media sensational environment, why generate and put yourself in an unneeded/irrelevant environment?)

I will comprise -- party, but do it in a private setting and surround yourself with individuals who you trust.
You mean like on the swings at Romo's house?

great you don't like romo so you hold him to a higher standard. That is fine.

Of course I imagine they were drinking and probably spent a ton on dinner etc.

fumbling the go ahead field goal at seattle was all you needed to say.

If they beat the Giants it'll be forgotten about Sunday Night. No big deal.:flagwave:

I don't care they are out having drinks. Yes they are early 20 males who are in the lime light, who attract attention that none of us would. Nothing they did was wrong but as I said they do need to use good judgement more so than the avg person.
