I haven't done hookers but I've screwed many drugs.
Gronk does this stuff all the time, and it's celebrated. No big deal as long as what they do isn't illegal and it doesn't affect their preparation, which so far there's no evidence to suggest it has in any tangible way.
I agree, it's all about perspective. I don't think there's any controversy in going to Cabo on your bye week during the regular season. All I'm saying is Romo opened himself up to scrutiny with the way 2006 ended and the particular timing of his Cabo trip.
If Patrick Crayton caught that wide open 20 yarder over the middle we probably would have beat the Giants, and the media would have no room to criticize Romo.
Monday was the Hospital visits, Romo's pre-party, and then the annual Christmas party. Looks like they went out yesterday to what's basically a bar and grill. Today is about work.Tuesday is their day off so they had some fun Monday night. Didn't they visit the hospital the next day? No big deal. I wonder what the Giants were doing Monday night.
To be fair, going to a local club and traveling to another country aren't exactly comparable.
I watched that whole "Oh wow, Gronk hangs out with porn stars n' strippers, isn't he just SO COOL?!" cycle and just shook my head. If that was a Cowboy....
I wonder if they had a pre party at Romo's house?Press is going to blow this up now. They were spraying champagne everywhere.

No big deal.....sort of.
It was no big deal taking a trip to Cabo either.......until you don't play well or lose, and then you've put extra scrutiny on yourself for no reason.
Do they have the right as grown men? Yes, especially on off days.
But if you don't think they're going to hear about this from Jerry and Jason, you are kidding yourselves. They will also hear about it from the veterans, guys like Witten. The coaches and the vets know just how seldom years like this come along, just how rare the magic is even if you have the same guys next year. It's about more than the media scrutiny and questions that you and your teammates will now be asked a few times this week and a few dozen times if you lose on Sunday night, justified or not.
It's about putting yourself in a situation, location, time of night, etc. around too many unknowns where something bad can happen. One drunk doesn't like getting sprayed accidentally with champagne or doesn't like that the dancer he was fantasizing about is now working her tush to make money with you, and you get a bottle upside the head or have to defend yourself, resulting in an injury. Suppose that happened to Zeke and now Witten sees a season that may cap his career of frustration off. They are kids, not grown men, and they aren't thinking about the worst that can happen, but Jerry, Jason, and the veterans will find a way to let them know.
So will agents and prospective endorsement companies....it's not a huge deal, but it is all a part of the learning process.
I will be concerned if I hear about a similar event before this season is over.
I did a lot worst in clubs at their age.
Exactly...no big deal, but Witten also learned a lesson, and I'm sure he'd share it with a young guy today. There's just nothing positive that's going to come out of it.Witten was in Cabo with Romo.
I didn't read through the comments but So & Sos is not a club. I live a block away from there
Given the current playoff push for team, & the public spotlight of the team, different points can be presented:
1. Big deal for the specific players and the positions they play (especially, the QB) on the team.
2. No big deal.
3. "Rookies" need to unwind/celebrate.
4. Unnecessary outside public scrutiny can create excuses for present & future poor performances (in this current media sensational environment, why generate and put yourself in an unneeded/irrelevant environment?)
I will comprise -- party, but do it in a private setting and surround yourself with individuals who you trust.
