Dak should start against Tampa but if his poor play continues, Romo should get the nod the following week. This is business and you don't want to go into the playoffs with your young QB hitting the hall.

I work with a long-time Cowboy fan. He says Dak is the future and would not bench him unless he's injured. He's willing to watch 3 more bad games from Dak and then start him in the playoffs.

How many expected Dak to even go 4-1? Dak is the future. He needs to remain the starter. Does anyone HONESTLY think Romo would be 11-2 right now? We all appreciate what he has done for this organization, but his time as the face of this team is done. Accept that and move on.....

I expected enough to keep us in playoff contention until Romo came back, considering how he was performing in pre-season..

I don't necessarily agree with all of that. I think there's a reason you consistently hear Dallas FO, coaches etc. say don't bury Romo yet. They know its a long season and they know stuff can happen whether its injury or poor play. The chemistry argument makes sense if Dak was rolling and Dallas was 11-1. But what will happen to the locker room if (not likely but a chance) if Dak and the offense continues to struggle and now NYG is sitting there tied or 1 game back and you have Romo sitting there- and the entire locker room knows what he can do when he's healthy.

And Garrett has been giving Romo first team snaps every practice, without taking away from Dak's reps..

We have a great season going on now, they don't come around every year, and next year could be a repeat of 2015 nobody knows what will happen in the NFL. We have a good chance of making noise in the playoffs and possibly the super bowl. We have to put our best in to try and win it this year for next year may not be the same. If it means putting Romo back in the so be it. We have to take advantage of this year not play for the future.

Come on , my martial arts compadre ......really?

His release point is night and day from what it was.
His pre-snap reads are light years better.
His back shoulder throws are way better
His footwork is much better
His hip torgue>>>
I could go on and on...
Come on!

The guy is ALWAYS working on something. Everyone that knows him says he's obsessive with trying to perfect his craft.

Thank you.

If Romo starts at all this season, it will probably mess up Dak mentally and he probably won't ever be the same player than he was during the win streak.

I do think that if Dak does struggle at all during the regular season, Romo should only come in for relief.

The only games I saw Dak struggle through most of the game were divisional foes and Minnesota. Romo would have probably struggled against those teams also.

Man,first thing is Dak ain't no 12 year old kid, some of you people think benching him due to NON PRODUCTIVITY is gonna somehow alter/ stunt his ongoing formulating mental make up producing a basket case,,,SHEESE!

DUDE IS CENTERED,no doubt bout it.
DUI/drunken beach brawls and all,he's a full grown MAN (maybe a couple of soul scorching divorce's later on down the road of life MIGHT )
But right now at this stage he's fully aware of the 'cause/effect' theorem and is only gonna PROGRESS to the POSITIVE. cuz' from what I've seen, that's the kinda guy he is.

ROMO wanted back in the game with a fricking broken back bone in a flipping pre season game for screaming out loud.that DUDE is CENTERED no doubt bout it either.

The compiling evidence of non productivity is plain to see after last night's performance.

(The pony tailed,Birkenstock shod members seated ringside at the court of public opinion gasp in horror as I withdraw from the village square beer keg podium and crack a very long and raspy rat upon my exit,,,:lmao::lmao2: )

36 is young lol. You act like hes 76.

We're talking football age. 36 is old for a quarterback.

Tom Brady is like 40 with a history of knee issues. I guess everyone should gnash their teeth every time he takes a snap.

First, Tom Brady has had only one year he hasn't played in 16 games outside of his first full-time start and that was when he tore his ACL. Romo not only had a year (2010) where he couldn't complete the season, injuries have forced him out three times over a two year period.

Second, let's not compare Romo with Brady. Brady is an anomaly. It's like pointing to Brett Favre and George Blanda and establishing them as the norm. They aren't the norm, they are the exception. And neither of them were injured as much as Romo is to the point where they missed significant time because of their injuries.

Yeah they keyed on Elliott immediately, destroying any chance of the play (whether run or pass) would be successful. I could be completely wrong but I doubt Linehan believed Elliott could convert a 3rd-and11 on a toss sweep. It also seemed to me for a split second that Elliott slowed while running parallel to the line of scrimmage and was about to square up--I think to set his feet to pass. I may have imagined the whole thing. It's something I'll check on later today.

I kinda thought he was gonna pass it also.

I can't for the life of me understand why we are asking this question right now. How do we take it serious? Dak is the QB.
Are we gonna be one of those teams that keeps changing at every whim?
Dak should easily remain at qb, until a few crap games consecutively
We probably have to win 2/3 games to maintain HFA - I guess the question is: how long do you wait to make a change if Dak continues to struggle?

dak should start, but when he inevitably loses again, romo will be the guy going forward.
