Twitter: NFL projects 2017 salary cap to be between $166-170 million

That's actually some really great news. I know they said we're not going to be that active in FA, but this gives us the flexibility to at least add something of significance if the opportunity arises

I have been screaming for months that DAL could do anything it wants next year.......they have ability to create over 50m in cap space with very few cuts(Free, Hanna, Wliber)
Restructure and keep Romo now?

(ducking quickly)
They could easily keep and restructure Romo at 14m

How's it look Adam?
At 166m with 5m in carryover I have DAL at 7m under with 37 players signed including Romo at 14m

It's all relative. Cowboys get more cap room, so does everyone else.

Well no. It's not all relative because our issue has been that we weren't going to be in a position to do much, and now we may, whether or not other teams are able to improve as well is not really the issue

Funny how no one is saying the NYG blew it spending 200m on their D after Sunday Night

Jenkins, Vernon, Harrison would look good in Blue and Silver too

Meh, that will limit what they can afford on the other side of the ball. Their Oline is trash.

But keep screaming every off season about how contracts will kill our future cap

The cap is a myth. You can manipulate it any way you want to, and it will always grow to absorb your mistakes.

It's a built-in excuse for owners to keep their costs down. That's not necessarily a bad thing because baseball was ruined by no cost structure at all.

Martin was already a lock but now there is a little more resouces to resign other players and maybe bring in a few.
