Official Dak Prescott Thread **merged**

I was trying to prove the "Dak is perfect" group of posters is just short of being a cult.
he isnt perfect, but today was more on the coaching and game plan and game mgmt than the players.
They should have ran more, and on the last drive, they should let Dak call the plays, instead of spiking it, it is OT if they eat up more time.
Also kicking into endzone was stupid, make them run it back to eat up what 5 seconds, and they had 3 seconds left after the catch, so do the math.

The slow start is also on the coaches, and not playing the phil game, too much time off.

Had Romo been put in at 21-3 it might have ended the same way with rodgers scoring last.
Butler missing a td pass, willams drop , penaltys, some lame calls really hurt too.
Game was close , but you just can start that slow against GB.

Dak cost us the game.

Int was within scoring range. Cost us points.

Because HE gave up those 21 straight points. I think that Steven A. and Shannon Sharpe read this board to get the stupidity needed for their schtick. The offense scored 31 points and you're blaming the loss on that 1 play? It's sadly comical at this point.

Elliot gets a month off and them were passing on third and 2 on the opening drive. It's perplexing.
I call it stupid, and you could be in close enough to go for it on 4th if needed.
They didnt run enough especially at end when GB was getting tired.
Dak doesnt call the plays, and maybe we should let elliot call the plays lol.

We've seen this logic before.... The Dallas-Denver game a few seasons back, as an example.

As I stated then, that loss wasn't on the QB play. And I will remain consistent and say this loss wasn't on the QB play, either. But I suppose I am in the minority when it comes to that.

did you NOT watch the scoreboard????

My biggest fear all season long watching this unfold was that Dak would be a flash in the pan and that he'd get figured out. And that we really didn't have our franchise QB.... which, nothing would be more heart wrenching than if we didn't.

But this game..... to be down by 18. Going against an all time great QB. In your first playoff game, ever... and to stare down the barrel of that and not flinch, to not fold. But instead quickly lead scoring drives and get the team back into the game.... that was impressive. Yes, we lost. Yes, that sucks. But this game was probably the most impressive by him. He was a rookie QB and had every reason to fold under pressure. And didn't. Instead, he delivered time after time. Season ended on a sour loss, but the answer we found at QB is a blessing.

If we draft a quarterback in the first round, we

1) push Dak to make sure he doesn't get a big head.
2) see if a first-round talent with all these weapons can do better.
3) trade the lesser one probably for more than we spend on it in draft capital.

And if Dak is the real thing, he'll win the battle. If he's not, he won't.

And I really like Dak.

Ummmmmm, so where do you plan to get all the defensive help we need? Rounds 2 and beyond? FA?
