Official Dak Prescott Thread **merged**

My point is that its comical to post the average QB rating of the league and compare it to Dak today when Dak has more tools around him than any team in the NFL.
If your point was that his postseason performance was just as good as his regular season performance, you picked an unusual way to say it.

Tony was a leader. Just because he didn't do it in a flashy way like Dak displays his leadership doesn't mean he wasn't one. This team was dependent on this man for years and everyone knew it. All the players looked up to him in the locker room because they knew he was the only reason they would win games.

Knowing he's the bell-cow and thinking he's a leader are two totally different things.

lets be real

we all know why some people want to see Romo in there instead of Dak even after Dak overcame a mini-slump and kept the offense moving and engineered scoring drives all year long.

Even after all that, some people still wanted to see Romo.

ROMO WOULD HAVE THROWN FOR 400 AND 5 TDS ON THIS DEFENSE etc etc
are you kidding? more like 800 yds and 10 td's !!!!!!!!!!!:muttley:

Whether you think he made some mistakes or not, can we all agree that he's proven that he is the future of this team, finally?
Need to see 1 more year to make sure he isn't a one hit wonder ala Foles.

Well, Dak, welcome to Romo's world. Now, you know what he's had to put up with all these years. Hopefully, we'll get you a better defense so you can have a better chance of success.

I was trying to prove the "Dak is perfect" group of posters is just short of being a cult.

Romo was only involved in game planning after 2013, when he got the new contract. This was forced by Jerry on Jason, who didn't want him there. His first season when Ginger was taken totally away from the offense, his numbers in terms of TDs, INT and YPA are up there with Matt Ryan this year, though Ryan's YPA are above 9 now.

Jerry was gushing in the off-season about the Linehan-Romo relationship that year, while most were totally oblivious to it.

So the fact Romo wasn't a leader was because of the HC, who had held this team back for years.

After our pre-season bye, lost. After our mid-season bye, nearly a loss to Philly. After a 10-day before playing again, loss to the Giants. And after another bye week prior to playoffs, loss.

He was both. Tony is a quiet and laid back guy. He was someone who led by example instead of being a vocal leader. Some players respond to that, some don't. There are different types of leaders and I truly believe Tony was a leader on this team for many years, especially in his later years.

Agree with bad play call & it was bad execution too. (granted not looking at film). Looked like the playcall was screen to 11. Ball would not have gotten to him, even if 88 had blocked 33. Bad play call and bad execution.
Run or play action should have been the call. That was the 2nd worst call of the game.

He played great, we fell behind early and dude did not quit.

Dude had been fantastic for a Rookie and will only get better, which is scary. Very scary. Give this dude a defense and maybe one more WR, and we win it all next season. Easily
Yep. As much as we need to go defense this off season, I wouldn't rule out another WR either.
