Pillowy-soft.

Easily the worst first round pick of the last handful of years.

If price is right I bring him back for another year. Here is the rationale. Cap friendly and limit his snaps to try and keep him healthy. When healthy he has contributed to the D. If he has a good year then I would STILL NOT resign him but hope another team give him a hefty contract so we can get a good compensatory pick the following year.

One, I tend to not put a ton of faith in what PFF claims. Their rankings always show silly stuff. They seem to be the anomaly that had the secondary so high. Football Outsiders had our pass D rated around 20th.

It's foolish to just roll the same 4 cornerbacks out there next year. As silly as thinking cast offs and bargain bin DEs were going to rack up sacks. This team needs changes at DE and in the secondary.

I think we can add some guys in the draft. Who are you looking to add in FA?

Give me a name you want to sign that is available and how much he is going to command on the open market-- then we can see if he is better than retaining Carr and Claiborne.

Brown is a keeper, and Scandrick should be better with an offseason to recover from plantar fascitis. IMO-- Claiborne was arguably the best corner in the NFL when he was healthy, and Carr played every snap and was definitely solid-- although certainly not a shut down CB.

So-- who are you proposing we add?

You guys go be miserable.. I'm going to give Jerry and Stephen another year to get this defense right. We don't have the talent to even contain a top 4 QB in the playoffs. Must upgrade the talent on D. Move up if you have to. Get some help for Dak and Zeke.

All I know is, please no more 1st round picks on DBs. Spend top picks on the big guys up front and undeniable playmakers. Our offense is great and should be better after we cut some dead weight. Our defense is and has always been pathetic. Marinelli has yet to build any pieces to the D-line since he's gotten here. Our O-line wasn't built overnight but at least it improved each year until it got to where it is now. Our D-line has been in fire sale since Marinelli got here.

Brown is a keeper. Scandrick was disappointing but hopefully will get better and his contract, I believe, makes it tough to get rid of him. I also think he's a better slot guy than outside CB.

Carr is an average CB. He just is. Claiborne is a no brainer to bring back if he wasn't such a massive injury risk. If I had my druthers.......... Claiborne back on a team friendly deal, Brown, Scandrick, FA CB, draft.

Claiborne missed 9 more games with a groin this season.

He finally came back in the playoffs against the Packers and managed to exit the game with an entirely different injury -- a shoulder.

I've been somewhat on the fence on wanting Mo to come back, however, at this point I wonder if the Cowboy have reached the point where they have to completely write him off as too unreliable to keep on the roster.

Agree or disagree?
He shouldnt be back, but I feel he will. Wont cost much and Dallas likes to go into the draft "without holes". They should move on, but I think they out think themselves with Claiborne

I was of the same opinion. But I think that he and a few other guys - like Bambi Butler - played themselves off of this team.
I think Butler has been awful all year. Other then Street last year, I cant think of a less effective WR we have had get a lot of playing time in 10 years
