You people are truly ridiculous. You spit out bromides as if they are cast in stone truth. So hopw does NE and Pitts and otjher teams at the top continue to do so?

They have a core of players that are playmakers.

I understand being disappointed, but some of this is bordering on pity.

Get a grip.

NE and PITT have multiple more Super Bowl wins than we have playoff wins in the 2000s.

I'm not so sure. We got beat by a great team who had won 8 straight. They were/are on a roll.
Great team? They have a WR playing running back, their #1 WR is out, they lost their starting safety, and have a bunch of scrubs playing in their secondary. Aaron Rodgers is a top 5 QB all time. Otherwise, they are a garbage team.

My first move, outside of the Romo trade to Houston? Sign Leary and can Crawford!

Romo isn't going to be traded to Houston, the Texans are stuck for 16 million next season with Osweiler. They have to give him one more season, plus he's still a young QB.

Im not mad. Next year we'll be back. What people don't see is that it's not about how hard it is to stay on top it's about who has the best front office. We have a top front office. Whatever we do in FA/the draft will be the right move. We're here to stay

Every year is different. Players move on and chemistry changes. The schedule changes and injuries happen. Dallas has a core of young talent on offense that is exciting. Which just gives the Boys a shot. That's all. Next season could easily be 8-8.

It is safe to suggest another 13-3 season would be nice, but in the back of everyone's mind won't we wonder if it matters? Gotta win in the playoffs, plain and simple. All the hype, all promise.....what does it matter?

This organization doesn't know how to win anymore. These opportunities don't come around all the time.

This team will look a lot different. Carr, Church, and Wilcox are all FA's. Leary and Twill are as well. Carolina went 15-1 and at least got to the SB. How did thay turn out this season??

If Leary comes back, can Collins play RT?

I would resign Williams

This team can't afford to lose a wideout

Exactly. There's a laundry list of teams who lost a SB or in the playoffs and thought for sure they'd be back. I would bet Dolphins fans were counting not if, but how many trophies Dan Marino would bring to Miami after they lost the Super Bowl but it never happened.

Nothing is for sure in the NFL. We just blew a golden opportunity.

Just look at what happened to Carolina this year.

If you look back last ten years, history is not on our side. Every year we made the playoffs, we had a bad season the following year.

2007 13-3 (Lost in the divisional round) , 2008 9-7(3rd place NFCE)
2009 11-5 (Lost in the divisional round), 2010 6-10(Last place NFCE)
2014 12-4 (Lost in the divisional round), 2015 4-12 (Last place NFCE)
2016 13-3 (Lost in the divisional round), 2017 ????

A crushing missed opportunity for sure. However the woe is me crowd can shove it. Sure, there is no guarantee Dallas will be back but guess wat, there's also no guarantee I will wake up in the morning. That doesn't mean gona sleep bemoaning about the things I didn't do.

Dallas has a offense led by 2 rookies that just went toe to toe with one of the greatest of all time. And it took Rodgers being absoluetely perfect to knock them out. It happens.

Dak, zeke, dez and that OL isn't going anywhere. So even though the cowboys have to go back to the drawing board I'm sure as hell glad they got them and as long they are there, Dallas will have a damn good shot.

I'm still not sure how Houston can fit Romo and Osweiler under the cap in 2017 without cutting other guys, so he may end up elsewhere. But yeah, each year is different. There's no guarantee we'll be back in the playoffs next year, but if the defense can be improved I like our chances.

Part of the fun this season is we created a real belief that we could do it.

No matter how good we look next year the best we can do during the regular season is get back to where we were today and it could all be for nothing yet again.

This is a hard loss for me and I'm so upset we blew it.

^ This.

We were not prepared for this playoff game and it was obvious. Going down 21-3 early at home with as much time as we had to rest and prepare is inexcusable.

And it is the reason why we lost.

Your last two sentences are spot on and in this sense every year is the same for the Cowboys. I can't help but think that the key change that needs to be made to fix this problem is the HC.

Future ...please..their are no guarantees in life let alone a game. Was not long ago the skins found their QB, had a great rookie season, made the playoffs, and were optimistic about the future. How did that turn out....I'm tired of excuses, job well done pat on the backs, good season but next year is the year talk...this team lost because the coaching staff for whatever reason decided the success of running the ball and winning vs the pack the first time needed to be tweaked. The first drive on 3rd and 2 and a ten yard slant was called...the writing was on the wall right there. Losing sucks and this loss will stick around for a while. We should be writing about being in the NFC championship this morning. Yet here we are writing about the 21st consecutive season where this team failed. Failed as the number one seed, failed as the better team, failed when it matters, failed with being prepared, failed when the fans and stadium gave them our hearts, and failed with not using the gameplan that worked the first time. A great regular season is meaningless when you can't back it up in the playoffs in any sport.

There is a cruel calculus in the football universe....Another fan and I were saying before the game that with a powerful offense, and the defense getting better, we were a better overall team than GB but that our Achilles Heel was coaching. And that game exposed that weakness. From not having the team ready to play at the start and falling so far behind, throwing passes on 3rd and 2's instead of running Zeke, and SPIKING THE BALL ! This game was there to win and we lost it due to bad game management by the coaches (again). Jerry the Blind Squirrel finally found a "nut" in Dak but his decision to have Garrett as a "coach in training" still leaves us on the outside looking in.

"They have the best player in the world, but they're garbage"

:laugh::laugh::laugh::lmao::lmao::lmao:

We weren't the first team to get beaten by Aaron Rodgers. We won't be the last.
