fix the defense all you want but if we (Jerry) don't address this prevailing issue of NFL refs screwing this team we'll go nowhere.
The call against Brice Butler is just mind boggling. It was as if the official was FORCED to call it. First of all...Butler did NOT commit a penalty. Secondly, the penalty he did NOT commit is never called....so what are we as fans supposed to think?

I get this anger but let's also be fair here and admit we got away with some stuff in that game too. There were two CLEAR holds on Packers WRs that went uncalled. One was a blatant hold.

I tend to think it's not that the league is out to get us. I think it's that officiating has just gotten crappier over the years and teams that have noteworthy players like a Brady or Rodgers tend to get some benefit of the doubt.

Also, I think Garrett hurts us here too. He's too soft on the sidelines. Someone posted a study a week or so ago that shows some correlation between getting calls and being a real %$# on the sideline towards officials.

is there a common thread where we can collect all these calls against Dallas and also the unsportsman penalty called on Butler but not on GB?

There was no unsportsmanlike penalty similar to ours on GB that went uncalled. Someone claimed it did happen but when you look at the play cited, it clearly wasn't a penalty as the guy who ran out of the huddle had played on the previous play. He was already on the field when he left the huddle. He did not come in from the sidelines like Butler did.

ugh....I realize we got to bring these type things to light but it's not helping! And I know it's thought a holding penalty happens pretty much every play but common, that is ridiculous. Can't imagine how Blandino could explain this IF he even acknowledges....

The ref should have quietly went over to Garrett and let him know if it happened again, he would flag us. Instead he decided to make a name for himself.

Also, why did the play go on? Why not call it immediately since it was a pre-snap/pre-huddle violation?

Why are people here acting like those *****y Detroit fans after the 2014 game? It is very disappointing.

GB beat us. Plain and simple.
You have to overcome the refs in todays game. The problem with the Detroit fans was it really wasn't a penalty IMO. Guy never made an effort to come back to the football.
