What If the Cowboys moved?

Well the Cowboys lost a Heartbreaker last week. We are all trying to get over the loss and look forward. I am very hopeful of what the future brings.

Speaking of the future, I had hypothetical question: Would you still follow the Cowboys if they moved to a different state? I ask because my Charger fan cousin just had his heart ripped out. He won't cheer for a team associated with L.A.

It's never going to happen. 110 percent not possible. Curious more than anything else.

Speaking of the future, I had a hypothetical. It's never going to happen obviously. Nonetheless, would you still follow the Cowboys if they moved to a different state? I ask because my Charger fan cousin just had his heart ripped out. He won't cheer for a team associated with L.A.

I would still be a fan. I follow the star on the helmet more than anything. Admittedly, I've never been to Texas. Therefore, I can't speak for what the Cowboys mean.

Would never happen.

It will never happen. But if it did I would stop following. I'm a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
I can take my Dad as an example. He was a long time fan of the Baltimore Colts. He grew up with Johnny Unitas et al. When they moved he stopped following them. For many years he would root for the Giants or Bills. He was born in NY but didn't passionately follow either team. When Baltimore got the Ravens he became a Ravens fan. To this day he hates the Colts.

First, I can't imagine the Cowboys ever moving, but I've thought about this question in my own mind before. I came to the conclusion that I've always been a Cowboys fan and always would be. Having said that, it's also hard for me to visualize being a fan of the L A Cowboys or the NY Cowboys (or any other city). I truly don't know where I would end up on my fandom were they to move. The good part is that they won't move. If I'm wrong and they do, it'll be after I'm dead and gone...so it won't matter anyways.

Jerry has the soon to be 4th largest Metro area in the US to sell to.

Would you move?

I don't live in Texas, so I couldn't care less. They could be the Walla Walla Cowboys and they'd still be my team.

Really? You'd still be a fan of the New Jersey Cowboys?

Has nothing to do with where you live. There's something distinctly "Texas" about the Cowboys, and it's not the same if they are the Providence Cowboys.

Dak and Zeke have made this team likeable again so I'd still be a fan.

Prior to this year, it's hard to say.

But I think "Dallas" is just as important to the brand. Dallas isn't a marquee city or anything, but it's like if you took the packers out of Green Bay. It just doesn't have the same appeal anymore.

I get that part of the aura of the team is its location, but I can't imagine not following the team anymore because of a lack of that local.

lol, dude, the NFL is not going to move their bread and butter team...the NFL would basically cease to exist....that would be like the NY Yankees relocating.......somethings are forever....the sun, moon, stars, Dallas Cowboys
